Abbey Grange Campsite

Mi è piaciuto Found a relatively flat pitch.
Pub looked ok, and the pub's outdoor setaing areas were done quite nice.

Non mi è piaciuto Shower and toilet facilities were very messy. Being so close to the road leading to the horseshoe pass wasn't great, basically every boy racer and his dog were flying up and down the road all hours of the night.
On check in, I wasn't told where the showers or bins were, but found them driving into the site. Think they could maybe capitalise on the pub side a bit more, food offer for campers. Breakfast option possibly. Appreciate campers tend to cook their own food, but I'm sure they would have some takers.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely setting and nice hotel, lovely friendly staff. Food was amazing and loved the ‘pods’ in the grounds to eat outside. The camp sites were very clean. Great play area for the children.

Non mi è piaciuto There was about eight young lads who partied until 2am which was annoying has when I booked it said no more then two adults per tent!!
The toilets/showers were so dirty it felt like I had to shower when I came out. These really need updating and cleaned more often, I only stayed the weekend so coped with it. Please build a new shower block

Mi è piaciuto We had a great stay here. Good location with convenient pub. Good pub good and the whole place has its own uniqueness.

Mi è piaciuto Spacious fields, no problem checking in. Pub on site served food.

Non mi è piaciuto Had read a few reviews about facilities and the toilets/showers. They weren’t the most luxurious but weee kept clean. Maybe a few more needed? The pub was a bit expensive.

Mi è piaciuto The space and views were great.A handy stop over and also to visit Llangollen.

Mi è piaciuto The setting was really nice surrounded by mountains and not too far from llangollen.

Non mi è piaciuto The elctric tent pitches in field 1 were all under trees so no sunshine most of the day and after rain it just constantly dripped all over tent and us outside. Also i dont think any pitch had level ground.

Mi è piaciuto space around the field is good though it wasn't full so cant say what it would be like if it was.

Non mi è piaciuto toilets next to pub, 1 male and 1 female are old, dirty and stink, ladies door is difficult to lock so always worried someone would walk in. the shower rooms didn't look much better so didn't use them, we were only there 1 night so didn't matter too much to us. There aren't any fresh water taps around the field and when I asked in the pub the young lad didn't have a clue where they are and didn't offer to find out so had to ask him to go ask someone who would know. Turns out there is one hose pipe opposite the pub! For £30 per night I expected better.
The pub serves food until 8pm which was very disappointing for families arriving later on Friday evening, not sure what time they open but as we were leaving at 10ish there were families wanting breakfast, saw them in Llangollen a little while later so assume they don't open till much later. Food and drink is you standard frozen stuff - ok but over priced and staff friendly enough.
