    Nothing at all

    Disliked:

Getting there was a nightmare, put postcode in satnav, there is another place (that looks beautiful, the other site have the abbey ruins within there site, this is photoed by this site) we went into this site first as its name is very similar, they told us to leave there site and take first left, this is not the case !! Take the left into the pub car park

This is a small field right next to a busy road and being over looked a row of cottages, there is no organisation to the field just pull up / setup where ever you like, there is no shop available on site, the field belongs to a pub where all transactions take place

There is no disabled access for the pub that we saw (just 1 or 2 steps without hand rail) there was no access to the toilets / shower room that we saw (not that we looked very hard)

The whole site was run down, the park they refer to was next to the pubs car park, not really sutible for letting your kids go alone

Upon arrival we decided not to stay there (got there late so had to stay 1 night) once seen in the pub we had to pay for 1 night in the pub, telling us payment already paid via pitchup doesnt go to them? The staff were not pleasant, they told us all music should be off by 10, however still at 11pm when we went to sleep there was still quite a lot of noise from music, and people running around

From the manager...

We would like to clarify this review. Firstly we can't help that Abbey Farm campsite our our campsite have the same postcode and similar views. The fact that you were mis-directed to our site was not our fault, but if you did take the first left, you would have drove past our campsite anyhow. We do not advertise a shop at our site, we have a bar, hotel and brewery, but we do not advertise a shop. With regards to pitches, we try to have a relaxed approach where groups/families can gather together etc and we allow customers to pitch in either field to enhance their enjoyment and give best camping experience. With regards to no disabled access to the Hotel/Bar, there are two disabled routes with access to the facilities etc. Our play area is safe for children, we also have signs saying that all children need to be supervised and there is a 5mph speed limit in place throughout the entire site, including the Hotel car park. We have a policy where all music needs to be off by 11pm and we do our best to enforce this.

Friendly and courteous staff, basic but clean facilities and within easy reach of Llangollen and the main tourist areas. Beautiful scenery from the campsite, the cockerel was welcome, as we'd forgotten our alarm clock! The biggest surprise, though was the young peacock that comes around the campsite each morning to see if there are any scraps of food going begging. Sadly, we could only stay for two nights, but we would definitely go back when time allows. We'd happily recommend Abbey Grange to family and friends.

    Disliked:

Nothing to dislike, it's basic camping, at a decent price.
