  • Busy family park within easy reach of Colwyn Bay and Rhyl
  • Close to the beach at Abergele
  • Pool, playground, bar, restaurant and takeaway
Thrills in Rhyl or getting out to play in Colwyn Bay: both are in easy reach of Ty Mawr Holiday Park on the north Wales coast – along with gorgeous beaches, market towns, charismatic castles, and the inspiring scenery of the Welsh mountains. This buzzing, family-oriented park is great for kids: they’ll spend hours whizzing down the flume into the indoor pool and running around the large outdoor playground, and can join Sparky the rabbit and his Krew in the free kids’ clubs for all ages. There are also plenty of organised sports activities on offer. In the evenings, the whole family can enjoy a knees-up at the all-singing, all-dancing entertainment bar, where live bands and cabaret make a regular appearance, as well as fun theme nights and competitions. The various food options on site include plenty of takeaway choices at the Rendezvous diner and the Boathouse bar and restaurant. Modern amenities include toilets, showers and heated changing areas.

Liked All facilities are great, a lot of things for kids to do, all perfect

Disliked some lack of information how to check in after hours and also from some services from staff.
if you got to swim poll you must take 20p with you to close the locker as it is not informed anywhere and also not informed by staff in the moment of the booking.

Liked Clean toilets.
Bus stop right outside the gate. To both Rhyl and Llandudno. Frequent service too.

Disliked We requested a pitch away from the road.
We got a pitch, as close to the road, as you could get. A very busy and noisy main road. So close, trucks would cause the motorhome to literally shake. The site wasn't full either.
Small shower cubicle. Shower and toilet block, were in portakabins. You had to negotiate your way into the toilet cubicle, because they were so small.
We chose the site, because it had entertainment. However, in spite of their best efforts, the entertainment team were truly awful.
Wifi. Couldn't get it to work. Other people had no joy, we even asked the staff, they couldn't get it to work either.
It seemed to me, that the field used for camping, was just a bit of spare land, they decided to fill with tourers. No hardstanding pitches, not enough taps. Although we did have full 16A electric points.
We won't be going back.
