Camlad fully-serviced hardstanding touring caravan pitch

Liked Everything. The site is extremely well thought out fab layout, very well looked after. Pitch we had was absolutely perfect for us so much space.
Great, nice well kept off lead dog exercise area which was very good.

Disliked The only negative which isn’t anything the site can really change, is there are no public rights of way that can be easily accessed straight from the site, especially if walking with your dog.
Also there is WiFi but it isn’t the best I managed to open a couple of emails but that was about the most it would do.

Camlad fully-serviced hardstanding touring caravan pitch

Liked Quietness - beautiful location overlooking fields and the hills in the distance.

Dog friendly. A walk on site

Central to lots of good walking areas and some great pubs

Helpful friendly staff

Disliked Pitch wasn’t the greatest for us as we have a stupid dog that barks when he sees people to say hello. It’s unfortunately outer pitch was on a walk through, not the sites fault.

What customers say

This adults-only campsite is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful countryside views, and friendly, helpful staff. Facilities, particularly the spacious wet rooms, are consistently reported as clean and well-maintained. Pitches are generally spacious, with some offering lovely views. The dedicated dog walking area is a popular feature. Minor drawbacks include occasional issues with WiFi, dated toilet facilities according to one review, and some guests finding it difficult to walk directly from the site due to a nearby busy road. Metered electricity is also a point of note for some.

Meadow and Kerry fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Great hot showers, clearly marked large piches, beautiful views, & very very peaceful

Disliked Wifi not the best, & difficult to go walking as many public walkways we tried were overgrown. Nothing within walking distance i.e pub, but if you do want to walk, you'll need to walk on the main road for the most part if you decide to leave the park on foot.

Meadow and Kerry fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very quiet and respectful park. Efficient check-in. Choice of shady or sunny pitch (I had booked for the Meadow because of the beautiful view but we asked to move to a shady pitch, which was accommodated). Facilities were good. Spacious pitches, with EHU, water and waste at each. Felt safe and secure.

Disliked Was nothing to dislike.

Route directions

Please do not try to use satnavs in the last five miles of your journey: they will try to take you down lanes that are neither suitable for a caravan nor necessary to go down. The site is on the A489 between Craven Arms and Churchstoke. If travelling east on the A489 from either Welshpool or Newtown follow the signs for Craven Arms once in Churchstoke. Pass Harry Tuffins garage and supermarket on your right. Daisy Bank is a further two miles on the righthand side of the road. If travelling via Shrewsbury, take the A488 sign posted from the A5 to Bishops Castle. It is approximately 30 minutes from the A5. The turning onto the A489 is a very sharp one to your right travelling down hill towards the village of Lydham. Check the map and follow it carefully so as not to miss the turn. If travelling from Craven Arms, take the A489 and follow all signs to Newtown. The site is signposted from Lydham and is approximately two miles on the lefthand side.
