What customers say
This is an exceptionally clean, well-maintained campsite with outstanding facilities, particularly praised for their modern and spacious shower/toilet cubicles. The riverside location offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, enhanced by the friendly and helpful site manager, Chris. Many guests enjoyed the bonus of seeing low-flying aircraft on the Mach Loop. While road noise can be noticeable during busy periods, it rarely detracts from the overall positive experience. The site is highly recommended for its tranquil setting, superb amenities, and welcoming staff, with many visitors planning to return.

Liked Everything!! Amazing surroundings, toilet/shower block was spotlessly clean. As a solo female camper i felt incredibly safe, chris was great, really helpful, even sent me directions to the carpark for dolgoch falls! (Which were magical). Planes going over everyday was the icing on the cake for me! Can’t wait to go again.
Disliked Nothing.

Liked Superb site with extra helpful site management in chris. Great location for mach loop and they fly low right overhead. No road noise and fab pub in the penrhos arms half mile walk with very friendly locals who couldn't be more helpful with tips for sightseeing. Super clean and top notch shower block and free WiFi that actually worked

Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked It's the second time we have stayed there this month and will stay again when next in the area. Site Manager, Chris, is very helpful and accommodating. The site, on two levels, is good where you are allowed to pitch up where you want. The facilities are brilliant, in fact, I would say the best campsite facilities we have experienced. They are spacious and very clean.
Disliked Nothing to dislike at this campsite.

Liked Site was extremely clean and quiet Chris was there to meet us as we got there couldn’t fault him brilliant he checked in on us once we had pitched up to check if we were ok. Showers and toilets perfectly clean water nice and hot everyone was respectful. Being on the Mach loop if you are treated to low flying fast jets Monday -Friday we were lucky to catch some f35’s and typhoons fly through. will definitely be staying again in the future!

Utterly beautiful place
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked I booked to stay here for one night and it was absolutely fantastic. Got a lovely warm greeting from Chris, the site manager as soon as I arrived and although I’d booked an electric pitch (that was all that was showing as available when I booked), I didn’t actually need it, so I was allowed to pitch wherever I wanted on the field. I parked up right next to the river and had probably one of the best back door views I’ve ever had. It was absolutely stunning, the river, the wildlife, the sunlight coming through the trees in the evening was just beautiful. There is easy access to the river via a stepping gate, though I like to admire the water from a dry perspective 😂
Chris also text me with details of the WiFi (worked marvellously) and said I could contact him with any questions should I need, which I thought was great.
With regard to the facilities, they are absolutely top notch. Theres a facilities building that houses a washing-up room along with 5 individual rooms that have both a toilet and shower in each (one of the 5 is an accessible room). Every time I used the facilities they were spick and span and always fully stocked with loo roll, soap etc.
I understand there is a pub and village shop a short walk down the main road, though I didn’t go to either, so can’t comment on those.
I genuinely loved this site and would absolutely recommend it to anyone for both short and long stays, it was beautiful. 10/10
Disliked not even a whisper of a negative from me!

Liked Site host, Chris - couldn’t have been more helpful. This site is spotless and the lower (riverside) field it quiet and tucked away with cracking views. A real gem.

Liked The site is wonderfully situated by the river. The facilities are second to none and with a nice pub just minutes away there is nothing to dislike. Chris, the site manager, however put the icing on the cake with his immediately accommodating approach to advising the best pitches and suggestions as to which might be best for us to choose from. Thank you Chris! All in all a peaceful and relaxing site for the weekend. The ‘Mach Loop’ fly pasts may trouble some during the week but most will be thrilled by the low level passing of aircraft.
