Fox camping pod

Liked Very friendly welcome. Nice little pod in a beautiful location. Toilets and facilities clean. Shop and cafe on the site. Excellent location. The site is dog friendly.

Disliked Only issue is the drainage system runs behind the pods so on some occasions was an unpleasant smell.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch (maximum 6 metres)

Liked Location: very central to all environment

Disliked The bathrooms too basic and one day no cleaning (Sunday August 24th); no grey water disposal and part of the day a bad smell (from the sewer?) on the camp site

Hare camping pod

Liked Position of the pod - quite secluded with a nice view into willow scrub at the back. The fridge was very useful. Good that there has been some shrubs planted along the path. Clean toilets and lovely hot water to wash dishes.

Hare camping pod

Liked Everything. It was such fantastic value for £. The pod was clean, spacious enough for three adults and the little touches like the fridge and kettle up-levelled it massively. The toilet/shower block was fresh and clean every day and the reception lady was lovely.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch (maximum 6 metres)

Liked The park is predominantly a lodge and static caravan site.
The touring area is small but great for younger families as there is a park directly located in the middle of the pitches. Each pitch is a fair size.
Loved that the access to fresh water was directly at your pitch. The surroundings are lovely, nice walks, very tranquil. Showers were clean.
There is also an outdoor activity company, walking distance away, so if you fancied quad biking etc its ideal.

Disliked Quite a lot of wasps due to the situation of bins.

Local attractions

A bluebell wood, nature trails and stunning scenery are right on site for leisurely days, and you can mountain bike over Duke's Pass or go fishing, bouldering and horse riding at Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park less than half a mile away. More fishing (for salmon, sea trout, brown and rainbow trout, pike, perch, roach, chub and dace) is at Loch Lomond two miles from Trossachs. For hikes, amble the short trails and stop off for lakeside picnics at the Three Loch forest drive, six miles from the site, or combine walks with wildlife with a pootle around Blair Drummond Safari Park within half an hour's drive. For a very Scottish flavour of break, have whisky tasting and a tour around Glengoyne Distillery, 10 minutes' drive away, take a tour of Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument (35 minutes) or take a boat trip to Inchmahome Priory on the Lake of Menteith, reachable within 10 minutes.
