General

  • Newly-constructed site only four miles from Inverness
  • Spectular views over Inverness and the Black Isle
  • Excellent base for exploring the Highlands

A towering amount of ticks will be all over your holiday boxes with a stay at this Scottish site a short four miles from excellent Inverness. Ready for the reasons? Read on.

First up, the scenery: every one of the pitches at Ardtower Caravan Park comes with clear views towards the Bonnie Black Isle and the mountains and hills beyond, as well as fetching 180-degree vistas of the Moray and Beauly Firths.

It's easy to get to yet more Scottish scenery from here too, as the park is only a five-minute drive on the B9006 to the A9 motorway, and set on a hillside between Inverness and the Culloden battlefield (the Culloden Visitor Centre is less than three miles away).

If swish facilities are always on your holiday list, tick that box as well, as Ardtower is a newly-constructed site and its high-quality amenities and geothermal renewable energy-powered amenities block has underfloor heating and insulated walls, roof and floors.

Shower cubicles, washbasins, loos, hairdryers and shaver points are in the ladies' and gents' washrooms, alongside infant and toddler bathing and baby change (up to school age) facilities including a half-size bath and low-level WC and sink.

And yet more: Ardtower's other excellent amenities include a laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, a deep sink, an iron and an ironing board, and an outside drying area. There's also a covered dish washing area and hot/cold water sinks with easy access.

More? A marine-style disposal with self-pump tank waste is on hand for larger motorhomes and a standard grey water disposal point covers motorhome services.

And even more: the small shop on site has self-service tea and coffee, a soft drinks facility and snack cabinets.

Lovely setting. Close proximity to bus into Inverness. Site and toilets spotless. Owners super and nothing appears too much trouble for them. Fabulous site. Give it a try.

    Disliked:

A very small dislike, but would have preferred if caravan and awning on hard standing. Would ask for a wider pitch the next time as these are available.

Very clean site... amazing views... shower blocks where amaculate, very modern and loved the area they set up in the women's shower rooms for drying your hair, hairdryers on site which where very powerful.also loved the music in the shower block .. numbers where provided for local taxies. A taxi into town cost us £10 and we booked into a local restaurant number 27 bar and restaurant which was amazing.. some lovely pubs in the town too... overall would definitely recommend and we will be returning... there was also a lovely little play area for the children...

    Disliked:

Only dislike ... no plugs next to the hair dryers for my straighteners... I presume this is for safety reasons... (not really an issue)
