  • Well-established site only four miles from Inverness
  • Spectacular views over Inverness and the Black Isle
  • Excellent base for exploring the Highlands
A stay at this Scottish site, four miles from Inverness, should tick a lot of your holiday boxes. Ready for the reasons? Read on. First up, the scenery: every one of the pitches at Ardtower Caravan Park comes with clear views towards the Bonnie Black Isle and the mountains and hills beyond, as well as fetching 180-degree vistas of the Moray and Beauly Firths. It's easy to get to yet more Scottish scenery from here too, as the park is only a five-minute drive on the B9006 to the A9 motorway, and set on a hillside between Inverness and the Culloden battlefield (the Culloden Visitor Centre is less than three miles away). If swish facilities are always on your holiday list, tick that box as well, as the site has high-quality amenities and a geothermal renewable energy-powered amenities block with underfloor heating and insulated walls, roof and floors. Shower cubicles, washbasins, loos, hairdryers and shaver points are in the ladies' and gents' washrooms, alongside infant and toddler bathing and a baby changing (up to school age) facilities, including a half-size bath and low-level WC and sink. And yet more: there's a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, a deep sink, an iron and an ironing board and an outdoor drying area. There's also a covered dish washing area and hot/cold water sinks with easy access. A marine-style disposal with self-pump tank waste is on hand for larger motorhomes, and a standard grey water disposal point covers motorhome services. And even more: the small on-site shop has self-service tea and coffee, a soft drinks facility and snack cabinets.

What customers say

This is a highly recommended campsite praised for its exceptional cleanliness, modern facilities including luxury private bathrooms, and stunning sea views. Guests enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff, spacious pitches, and convenient location for exploring local attractions. While the majority of reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few minor points were raised regarding short shower durations and the cost of laundry. Some guests noted that sea-view pitches could become muddy in heavy rain.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Everything the site was immaculate with stunning views. The toilets and showers were outstanding. The owners and staff were very helpful. Take extra heavy tent pegs as the pitches were very hard.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked I know it seems like an expensive extra but £10 well spent on a private bathroom for the night, where on a busy site not having to wait for the toilet or shower or being able to just enjoy the rainfall shower at leisure was worth every penny
