Local attractions

About the area...

The local area attractions are mainly focused on nature and the countryside. Whether your interest is gardening, walking, golfing, fishing or simply enjoying the scenery around you, your needs will be met here!

The area has some exceptional sub-tropical gardens - Logan Botanic Gardens, Castle Kennedy Gardens, Ardwell Gardens, Glenwhan Gardens & Dunskey Gardens. In addition, there are some beautiful sandy beaches in the area for the children...and the young at heart!

More traditional tourist attractions include Port Logan Fish Pond - Marine Life Centre, Creetown Gem Rock Museum, Bladnoch Distillery, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, Glenluce Abbey & Monreith Animal World. Of course, you are also only a 'hop, skip & a jump' from Northern Ireland and the ferry companies offer some excellent day trips to Ireland.

The main problem with this part of Scotland is that once you stay here, you won't want to go home!

We hope this has whet your appetite for a holiday at Low Glengyre Farm - we look forward to seeing you soon!
