What customers say
This is a peaceful, natural-looking campsite set amidst beautiful countryside, ideal for a quiet break or as a base for exploring Bristol and Bath. Pitches are varied, often around lakes, with fire pits available. Facilities are basic but generally clean, with staff praised for being friendly and helpful. Some guests noted that the site can become muddy in wet weather and that facilities are minimal, particularly during busy periods. Manager replies indicate ongoing improvements to facilities.

Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked nice and quiet campsite, pitches clearly marked, central fresh water tap at the pitch, toilets and showers available and well maintained and met a friendly neighbour who stays at this campsite regularly and was very positive about the campsite. I will definitely stay here again

Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Peaceful location, with plenty of spaces around the fish ponds to pitch up. Easy walk to the local pub. Friendly and informative host. Basic but clean toilets and shower. Good recycling area

A basic site that lacked basic care
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Location fine close to city. I have stayed in many simple campsites
Disliked The bin and recycling facilities were full to overflowing and obviously had not been emptied for a long time. The toilets lacked loo paper at times and had no electric light which meant using them at night was problematic.

Would not reccomend
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Location was quiet
Disliked The images are not an accurate representation of the campsite. The field for motor homes/camper vans was extremely uneaven. The signage into the site was poor with little instruction where to go. The toilet facilities were extremely poor, only one mens toilet which was dirty loose and a leaking urinal, the whole unit needed a refurb. It was dry when we visited but in the wet the site would be extremely muddy and boggy. The lake was far smaller than the images suggest I dont beleive the images on the cover are correct either. Overall a really disappointing stay.

Fine for a 1 night stay
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Lots of options to stay in little areas around the lakes. Mostly flat. Good availability of fire pits and nice rural surroundings. In walking distance of a nice pub for tea (the Upton). Good for a 1 night stay.
Disliked The facilities weren’t really adequate for a site of its size. The main toilet block was in a field that seemed to have around 10 of permanent pitches then the other field had at least 20 pitches more. There was only 2 toilets and 1 shower in the girls areas. There was also no hot water to wash hands or dishes. There was a temporary toilet shack in the other field with a couple more toilets but this was very decrepit and blocked. Site was fine for an overnight stay or if you have your own facilities but the showers would be an issue for a longer stay.
