Liked: Proximity to the event I was attending. Also the West Somerset steam railway was nearby, just a short walk from the campsite. 2 pubs in the village were also in walking distance

Liked: The one shower, whilst being quite rustic and a bit of a dribble, had hot water as did the sink within the hut. There was plenty of space within the shower with plenty of hooks to hang clothes etc. The site itself is very quiet apart from the geese and cockerels! The site is easy walking distance from the village and its two pubs, and even closer to the excellent West Somerset Railway and Quantock Brewery shop/taproom.
Disliked: Not a dislike as such but given that there is just one shower on the site it could be a bit of a wait in the height of summer if it's busy. If you've got your own onboard facilities then it's not an issue at all. Whilst there were plenty of rubbish bins around the site there was nowhere (that we found) to recycle so we brought it all home.

Liked: Peace and quiet, handy location for Halse, railway and quantock brewery, friendly welcome and good price
Disliked: Shower water was slightly too hot and will be good when toilets are permanent

Liked: The field and farm were beautiful back to basics camping no light pollution so can see so many stars!
Disliked: Toilet block is about 6 portaloos which were OK and kept clean but spiders galore and no showers

From the manager: Hi I’m sorry that you found a spider but the toilets are cleaned everyday including removal of any spiders. It is field based so you will find creatures are lured to dry dark spaces and as you are aware we have no light pollution. There is also a brand new lovely shower room with a commercial shower and very large shower tray, pedestal sink with a hot water tap. All this is central in the field with a shower sign and shower symbol.

Liked: Very friendly host, with a couple of good pubs within walking distance.
Disliked: Not so much a dislike, more an observation...... no need to take an alarm clock as the chickens, geese and ducks will take care of that !
