  • Small family-run touring park two minutes from Junction 22 of the M5
  • A couple of miles from the beach at Burnham-On-Sea
  • Easy access to the Mendip Hills, Weston-super-Mare and Glastonbury
Green, Somerset-based and adults-only: what a splendidly relaxed and smashingly scenic place this is – and all just a couple of miles from the beach at Burnham-On-Sea. This small and family-run touring park is only two minutes' drive from Junction 22 of the M5 too, so bring your wheels and base yourself firmly here for some time around Somerset seaside days, handsome old towns, ancient sites (Glastonbury!) and green countryside and hills around which to ramble. Off further afield? Stop off here on the way to or from a holiday in Cornwall. Greenacre Place Touring Caravan Park has a level touring field with grass pitches. Chemical disposal points are on site for guests' use, along with a toilet block and heated showers in large cubicles with wet and dry areas. There's also free wifi. Dogs are very welcome, but please keep them on leads at all times on site. A pub serving food is ten minutes' walk away; shops, pubs, restaurants, a supermarket, bus service and Highbridge train station are all within five minutes' drive.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Small, adults only 10 pitch site, with fabulous pitches, well maintained.
Nice touch having lights all round the campsite boundary when it goes dark.
Lovely toilets, with fairy lights, plants, hand cream, perfume, bath mat in front of sink. Great showers, with a bag of ‘bits’ you could access, should you have forgotten essentials!
Free WiFi.
Such attention to detail. I absolutely loved this site, and would not hesitate to return!

Disliked Close to the Bristol Rd, which, of course gave you road noise, but didn’t bother us it all. You just zone out!!

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked So much work and detail has gone into making this site the peaceful haven it is. There is a guest information book for each of the pitches, the information within them is so complete and detailed they would rival Google (please take a copy and enjoy). The site itself is very well thought out with ten pitches placed around a central oval lawn area, they are well spaced out too. The shower and toilet facilities are exceptionally clean and have been designed to a high standard (luxurious). When we arrived we had lost our jockey wheel on the motorway and our leisure battery was flat, the owner came over, rolled up his sleeves and helped us to push our van into place. We were very grateful. What could have been a negative start to our holiday was suddenly turned around by an act of kindness, he also gave us some advice as to where we may get a new one fitted. The location of this site is perfect for exploring Somerset it felt really central. There is a McDonald's, a Gregg's and an Aldi all within walking distance. The doggy playground is really cool with little jumps and a box of toys. This is easily the best site we have stayed at in a long while. When we return to Somerset for more exploration we will definitely rebook here. Best wishes
John n Nick.

Disliked We really didn't want to leave this hidden gem, 8 days just wasn't enough. I can't think of a single thing to dislike even during a three day heatwave it was lovely!!

Liked Close to M5 have stayed here a couple of times on route to Cornwall. The showers and toilets are very clean and well kept site. Good little dog walk and play area for dogs.

Disliked Can be bit tight getting in and out of the pitches especially no7 in the corner you definitely need a motor mover.
Didn’t help having a commercial van parked across the pitch opposite.

Local attractions

Greenacre Place Touring Caravan Park is a mere two miles from the long sandy beaches of Burnham-On-Sea and within easy access of famed Somerset seaside town Weston-super-Mare, home of more sands, a most Grand Pier and Britain's only helicopter museum. To the north is the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a Mendip must not only for their viewsome hikes among the gorges and woodland rising up from the Somerset Levels, but also for the eye-wateringly fab Cheddar Gorge, carved into the hills and so gorge-ous it's been named as Britain's second greatest natural wonder (the Dan-yr-Ogof caves in Wales are first). Going east will take you to also very famed Glastonbury, with its Tor, Chalice Well, 170 listed buildings and the Somerset Rural Life Museum; a short distance from there is the village of Street and to the north you'll find the tiny city of Wells. Other top options are the county town of Taunton, surrounded by the Blackdown and Quantock Hills, and the Bredon Hills to the south-west, running all the way along to Exmoor National Park.
