Burnham-on-sea

  • Small family-run touring park two minutes from Junction 22 of the M5
  • A couple of miles from the beach at Burnham-On-Sea
  • Easy access to the Mendip Hills, Weston-super-Mare and Glastonbury
Green, Somerset-based and adults-only: what a splendidly relaxed and smashingly scenic place this is – and all just a couple of miles from the beach at Burnham-On-Sea. This small and family-run touring park is only two minutes' drive from Junction 22 of the M5 too, so bring your wheels and base yourself firmly here for some time around Somerset seaside days, handsome old towns, ancient sites (Glastonbury!) and green countryside and hills around which to ramble. Off further afield? Stop off here on the way to or from a holiday in Cornwall. Greenacre Place Touring Caravan Park has a level touring field with grass pitches. Chemical disposal points are on site for guests' use, along with a toilet block and heated showers in large cubicles with wet and dry areas. There's also free wifi. Dogs are very welcome, but please keep them on leads at all times on site. A pub serving food is ten minutes' walk away; shops, pubs, restaurants, a supermarket, bus service and Highbridge train station are all within five minutes' drive.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Loved the tidiness and cleanliness of the showers toilets and the grounds. Great touches in the facilities with toiletries and lovely fragrances.
At night lit up with hundreds of fairy lights.
Safe and secure. Greggs, McDonalds and Aldi only a stroll away. Good facilities for our dog.

Disliked You have to mention some road noise which although present, did not give us any issues.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Our first time here, and from start to finish an amazing experience at this adult only site. Attention to detail by the owners of this small family run park of 10 pitches is exceptional. Great base location for exploring the local area and sites beaches and attractions. Lovely large well maintained pitches and surroundings with lovely amenities kept super clean.

Disliked Nothing to dislike, however the road noise outside may bother some campers, its a fairly busy main road, but its a distant sound and didn't bother us when you weigh up the balance of getting to the main sites beaches and attractions. You can still happily chill outside your caravan or camper in the sun.

Liked Beautiful kept site. Its small with about 10 spaces . The spaces are large enough for camper or caravan with awnings . Electric point for each space and very clean and well appointed toilets and showers. We was very impressed and enjoyed our stay there . We walked to a very nice pub called the Fox and Goose for drinks and excellent food. This took 20 minutes along the main road .

Local attractions

Greenacre Place Touring Caravan Park is a mere two miles from the long sandy beaches of Burnham-On-Sea and within easy access of famed Somerset seaside town Weston-super-Mare, home of more sands, a most Grand Pier and Britain's only helicopter museum. To the north is the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a Mendip must not only for their viewsome hikes among the gorges and woodland rising up from the Somerset Levels, but also for the eye-wateringly fab Cheddar Gorge, carved into the hills and so gorge-ous it's been named as Britain's second greatest natural wonder (the Dan-yr-Ogof caves in Wales are first). Going east will take you to also very famed Glastonbury, with its Tor, Chalice Well, 170 listed buildings and the Somerset Rural Life Museum; a short distance from there is the village of Street and to the north you'll find the tiny city of Wells. Other top options are the county town of Taunton, surrounded by the Blackdown and Quantock Hills, and the Bredon Hills to the south-west, running all the way along to Exmoor National Park.
