  • Within 25 minutes' drive of Weston-super-Mare
  • Fishing lake and play area on site
Picky about how close you stay to the beach? Well, Unity Beach in Somerset is just a couple of minutes' walk away from the beach in Brean, and it's not the only pick in the locale: Burnham-on-Sea beach is a 15-minute drive away, and Weston Super Mare beach is 25 minutes away. On the park, there are bathrooms (with loos, hot showers and underfloor heating), a play area and a fishing lake, as well as direct access to Brean Leisure Park. Guests at Unity Beach get a 50% discount on all of the following leisure park locations: the mammoth Brean Splash waterpark (open during high season only) with indoor and outdoor splash zones, flumes and waterslides; the Brean Play indoor play centre with areas for babies, toddlers and kids up to 11; and Brean Golf Club with 18 holes set around 100 acres of meadow. Guests also get discounted tokens/wristbands for Brean Theme Park's rides and amusements. Once your appetite has been properly worked up with all of those activities, sink down in a seat at one of the several on-park restaurants, snack bars or cafés serving cooked breakfasts, steak, ribs, pizza, kids' meals, takeaways or ice cream during high season – and you might very much like the sound of cocktails served in a fish bowl at American-themed diner RJs…

This well-maintained site boasts spacious, level pitches with convenient electric and water hook-ups. Staff are frequently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. Facilities, particularly shower blocks, are consistently described as clean, though some comments suggest they could be updated. Liked The entertainment, swimming and activites were great. Really enjoyed the panto.

Disliked We decided to move sites to a near by one as very unhappy.

Toilet blocks - not kept clean, in early evening for 2 nights we stayed left in a right mess nothing done to avoid this.

Cleaners smoking in toilets when actually cleaning in there.

Signs for no e-scooters etc. Kids racing around and even after dark with no light, witnesses staff just ignore this while showing new arivals to their pitches.

Kids racing around in the hired golf karts again staff not doing anything about this.

Some holiday makers driving around the site at excessive speed, didnt feel could let my children play outside due to the last few points.

Customer service was awful, when went to speak to someone in main office the next day. They dismissed complaint saying we hadnt brought any concerns to them immeadiatly. All these happened the previous night and raising to security who was driving around could not have missed this seamed pointless. The staff member whos name i have for an official complaint didnt even bother to get up from desk to talk to us. Sat at a desk about 3 rows back with face half covered by screen. Which suggests that they deal with complaints like mine regularly and happy just to bat it away

Liked Facilities were amazing! Playgrounds were incredible and placed everywhere which was perfect. Swimming pool and theme park were amazing. Being able to ride around the site was great. Shops and chip shops were perfect.
Location was great, walkable to the beach.
Staff were lovely! Toilets and showers were clean and plenty of them.

Disliked Everything was great but our only disappointment was the tent pitch sizes. They were very tight, meaning you didn't have much space to even sit outside let alone have any activities out, such as swing ball etc. I would say width was ok but depth was no where near enough and we have a standard sized tent. We felt we were sat on the road side.

Small extras: Main road behind us. Wi-Fi was really poor, even when we tried to pay for it, we couldn't it glitched and wouldn't allow us. Included Wi-Fi would be fair.

This may have been us but we didn't seem to have a fresh water supply for drinking anywhere nearby, only one the caravan pitches.

Liked The outdoor and indoor swimming pools are so attractive!

Disliked When booking online, it said Wi-Fi was free, but at the campsite, we couldn’t access the Wi-Fi. When we asked the staff, they said there was a fee. This is the first time we’ve encountered this when going camping!

Grove Field non-electric grass pitch

Liked Beach location

Disliked Cramped together. You said no commercial vans in site, loads on site. Loads of electric bikes and scooters. Seems like no security enforcing rules. One step up from a Gypsy site. Awful.

Liked Loved the site, so much to do for kids. Handy supermarket on site. Really close to the beach. 20 minutes into weston too. Swimming was free with the passes. We didn't have to que but we went at half 9. Must say staff were extremely helpful. Especially Jerry, thank you for letting me use your phone when i lost my partner 🤣. Toilets were okay, never qued for showers or toilets. Kids did mess up the toilet sinks on occasions but can't blame the site (blame the parents of feral children) , they were cleaned up quickly.

Disliked We camped so were a little far away from swimming and activities but we did rent a go cart for two of the days. Thats the only negative i could find to be honest.

Local attractions

If you do decide to venture off site (no-one would blame you for a second if you didn't), the best sights of Somerset are within a quick drive. Gorge out on the views of Cheddar Gorge and Caves ten miles away – it's not at all cheesy to state these are among the best in Britain – and take the kids to meet the witch of Wookey Hole Caves within 15 miles, both among the most-visited attractions in the county. Glastonbury is also rather gorgeous and has been visited for aeons by peeps interested in legend and history who come to have a look at Glastonbury Abbey, steeped in stories of King Arthur, and Glastonbury Tor, possibly (you might like to think so anyway) the entrance to the land of the fairies. Learn all about the legends and the Iron Age history of the town at the Glastonbury Lake Village Museum in the fifteenth century merchant's house on Glastonbury High Street; the tourist information centre is here too to see what else to spy nearby. Seasidewise, take a day each at Brean, Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare: the first for the tropical bird garden on Brean Down and the dunes running seven miles to Burnham; the second to look at the lighthouses and stroll off into the Somerset Levels, and the third for its whirly good helicopter museum and Grand Pier. Inland, land at teeny city Wells for a day sightseeing around its cathedral and stonkingly spectacular medieval bishop's palace, moat and gardens, or have a day among the hiking trails and bridleways of Exmoor.
