What customers say
This is a peaceful, rural site offering spacious, level pitches with EHU and water. It's praised for its convenient location for exploring Bath and Bristol via public transport, and for dog walks, with beautiful countryside views. While the site is basic, many found it excellent value. The primary concern is the condition of the toilets, with several reviews noting they require updating and cleanliness issues. Train noise is present but generally not considered a major disturbance.

The proximity to the Avon Valley…

Liked The proximity to the Avon Valley Adventure Park is brilliant.
The road traffic was quiet, it was nice to see the sheep close by.
Disliked Lots of weeds, nettles, the sites feels a bit run down. The lid for the chemical waste was a bit hazardous and felt like it was about to collapse, toilets basic.
Needs a grey waste point to be totally self contained.

From the manager: Thank you for your comment. I have got someone to come in and fix the lid of the chemical waste point - thank you for pointing that out. Sorry that you won’t come again.

Not for me
Electric grass touring pitch (members only)
Liked Quiet
Disliked Very basic and the only two toilets were dirty
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thanks for your comment. The site is well represented online with the facilities all listed. My apologies that the lavatories were dirty. They are kept as clean as I can but we did have some issues with flooding in June/July.
Excellent site, for a quick overnight stop mid journey.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch (members only)
Liked The peace and quiet, wasn't disturbed by another soul.
Disliked The unexpected trains that flew past randomly. No toilet/shower facilities.

From the manager: Thank you for your comment. Although we don’t have showers we do have lavatories on site, which I know have received bad press in the past. They are clean and functional but they are not the Ritz! Many thanks for staying with us!

Liked Peace and quiet ease of walk to public transport to bath or Bristol
Disliked Toilets need updating but I already knew that before I went dog in a caravan there barking all day
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your comment. My apologies for the barking dog - the owners were informed that it was unacceptable on the site. I do hope the update the lavatories as soon as I’m able!
Lovely countryside however a bit noisey and toliets were not great.

Liked Location was very convenient to where we needed to be - Bath BMX, countryside was beautiful and good for dog walks
Disliked The toilets were disgusting which I see has been commented on several times. There was a bird scarer that kept going off frequently as a loud bang which started again very early in the morning , It was near to the train track which again was noisey , however this did stop throughout the night.

From the manager: I’m sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, I can only apologise for the bird scarer. It was put on the farm without my knowledge and moved as soon as I realised how close it was to the site. I do try to be very honest about the lavatories on the site. They are kept clean and functional but they are agricultural. I also make it clear that we are located next to a railway.
Good location

Liked Lovely views. Good for dog walks. Witnessed the steam train whilst there. Water and EHU on our pitch. Small site but walkable to Waitrose and farm shop
Disliked Some train noise but so fast you don’t notice and didn’t affect sleep. No wifi

Liked Friendly owner. Clean site. Electric Hookup. Basic, but the price is perfect for it. Lovely surroundings.
Disliked One of the 2 toilets didn't lock. Cold water tap in the toilets. Would be great to have a shower on site. But all of these are acceptable at the price paid. (People mention the train noise, in our opinion, it wasn't noisy).

From the manager: Thanks Ryan! We hope to renovate our lavatories in future. Please do come and stay with us again!
OK, for a one might stopover.

Liked Easy to find, just off main road. Flat and spacious pitches. Right next to Avon Valley Country Park, so great if you stay here with children. Supermarket a short walk in one direction and farm shop and cafe in the other. Main line train noise was not a problem for us.
Disliked Toilets were pretty disgusting and not clean, the door on one cubicle was swollen with the damp weather and did not shut properly and the doors open directly onto the gravel entrance area. General maintenance was poor, there were dog poo bags chucked in the hedge behind our van. We don't have a dog. Expensive for a December stay.

From the manager: I'm really sorry to hear you were disappointed by our site. I have checked the lavatories and although I agree that that they are definitely not luxurious, they are clean and functional. I try to ensure that my description is accurate; they are agricultural at best. It is unfortunate that one door has bowed in the poor weather and I will get this fixed now that the holiday season is over. I cannot imagine why anyone would throw dog poo bags in the hedge when we have a large bin on site. They seem to have disappeared now but I will be more vigilant in future to ensure this never happens again. We have signs on the site asking people with dogs to be respectful of other site users and the site in general. Thank you for staying with us and if you change your mind you will always be welcome to stay again.
