What customers say
This peaceful, rural campsite offers beautiful views and a secure, friendly atmosphere. Many guests highlight the helpfulness of owner Garry and the convenient pitch facilities, including water and electricity. While the site is described as a work in progress with plans for expansion, the current amenities are generally well-maintained. A steep entrance road is a recurring point, but this is outweighed by the value, tranquillity, and lovely surroundings.

Sit back & relax
Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Liked the fact you just turn up & choose a pitch. What an amazingly peaceful, rural site. Just park up, unpack, set up, sit back & relax... Great views. Lovely friendly, chatty owners. Was great to hear about all the work they have done... & want to do. My only criticisms is the shower room could do with some more hanging places & a mat & also a mop to clean the shower & floor with after its been used... Loved our stay & willbe back.
Disliked Having to pack up & come home.

Peaceful camping
Electric optional grass and gravel tent pitch
Liked I love it here. This was my second stay and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. It's a quiet spot, fully secured with a gate that requires a pin. I feel safe as a solo camper. Facilities are very clean.
Disliked Nothing at all but my little car does not like the steep climb to the site lol

Quiet site, but get there early for pitch.
Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Access was easy and communication good, all relevant information given prior to arriving.
Dog walking area was really good, basically the whole field with access through opening.
Campsite owner/representative came to see us and point out amenities, etc.
Kept an eye out for wildlife and saw a dear in field eating plus a few hawks.
Disliked Toilet/shower were busy but very clean.
We’d booked the site thinking it was adult only, but children were at site - we book adult only as we have a GSD who gets nervous - although we were sited away from children.
One side of the site is level pitches, our side was sloping, although we managed to minimise this by parking down facing. Our neighbours appeared unhappy with this by voicing loud opinions. As we were only there for one night and leaving early - couldn’t be bothered to respond.

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Peaceful, in the middle of the Dorset countryside, on a hill looking out over a valley with farm fields beyond. Plenty of wildlife.
Secure, electric gate entry and exit.
Firm level pitch for our Motorhome.
Chosen for its proximity to the Buckham Fair.
We didn’t use the facilities but all looked well cared for.
Very friendly and helpful owner.

Electric optional grass and gravel tent pitch
Liked I had everything I needed & very good walking routes on the doorstep. Garry the owner was helpful & friendly. A small site with the personal touch. I will use this site again!
Disliked It would be great if the recycling bins were clearly labelled as some people were using all the bins for general waste.
