Electric grass pitch
Liked: Grass area for kids to play
Disliked: Toilets were filthy. Puddled with water every day we were there. Dirty water in the mop bucket for every day we were there. Showers were cold and dirty. Tent pitches were not big enough. They knew the size of our tent and that we paid extra for gazebo but wasn’t able to out gazebo up or even park the car on the pitch.
As you drive in it looks like a scrap yard of old caravans. Locals have said that people stay there permanently who are waiting a council house and ex prisoners. Felt very unsafe here.

Liked: Pitch - plenty of space plus open grass area.
Serviced pitch with water and waste - very convenient.
Although it was a large site and busy over the May Bank Holiday weekend, we still felt like we had space and we were not disturbed by other guests.

Electric grass pitch
Liked: Great location with a path leading to Swanage (25 minutes walk give or take). Friendly staff. Handy location and gorgeous scenery. Hot showers and individual bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink, plus a toilet block next to the camping field. Plenty of hard standing pitches as well as the field which were a bit quieter.
My kids both commented that it reminded them of French campsites we’ve stayed on. There was live music on the bank holiday weekend which was fun. A decent food van selling burgers, breakfast baps, coffee etc.
There are obviously plans to do the site up.
Disliked: Couldn’t see any recycling facilities so had to throw everything in together.
Not as many bathrooms as needed over the bank holiday when the site was full.
To address other reviews, yes, the site looks scruffy in places with a lot of long term pitched caravans, but that didn’t affect our enjoyment.

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Drive in and pull up to reception no idea where we’re going as it was all locked up no one answered the phone luckily the people we were with hadn’t turned up yet so I based my hard standing fully serviced pitch next to theirs When I went to the reception the next day to explain that I may have been on the wrong Pitch the lady behind reception was quite rude.
While driving to our pitch, the whole campsite was not maintained if they had seasonal pictures they were all overgrown. Don’t even get me started on the static caravans obviously people were living in them and had about six cars each. I don’t know whether you could class it as a junkyard or just no one cared it was awful.
Fully serviced joke you need an extremely long hose for the clean water which actually said on the tap not drinking water?? You need a chisel and hammer to get the top of the waist pipe off luckily we had long enough grey water pipe, emptying the toilet was overflowing no flush. You could see what people have for dinner, disgusting
The showers made a hideous noise and soon as you press the button for the water 2 seconds on then off again.
It had a shop that I only seen open once. Everyone I believe to work there always seem to have a cigarette hanging out their mouths lovely.

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: The hole place , on arrival it was like going through a scrapyard of caravans, there was no bar which was advertised it had been knocked down, showers were absolutely freezing cold , the electrics kept on tripping day and night, the whole place was just covered in dog mess so I’m not going to recommend that camp site to anyone I’m gonna warn people against going. It was an awful weekend. I believe that they are false advertising. Danger
