- Relax and unwind in style
- Uninterrupted views over the stunning rolling hills of Dorset
- Be cosy with the log burning stove and wake up to a beautiful sunrise
The shepherd's hut is set in an 11-acre field with uninterrupted views over the rolling hills of the Dorset countryside.
Judy and Ray run Wynards Farm with the help of their daughter Annabel and her partner Lee. Guests will be greeted warmly by the attentive family and shown to their hut. They also offer maps and literature and they will reveal the local secrets of routes and nearby attractions.
Most guests enjoy the privacy of having their own space so you can be left to your own devices and just leave the key in the door when you leave. Although there is usually someone around if needed. Sometimes the family can offer lifts to the pub or beach if needed.
The shepherd's hut is set in Wynards Farm, a smallholding which also offers a breakfast hamper tailored to your taste and budget with locally sourced foods and homemade marmalade and jams (charges apply). Breakfast can be delivered to the hut or you can have it in the main house.
There is parking close by to the shepherd's hut although you can park outside to unload. There is space for storing bikes, laundry facilities and you are free to walk around the garden. They are footpaths and bridle paths that leave straight from the property.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

It is quite unique being a little bit off the beaten track but close to the local amenities. You can walk to the pub a mile away or the village shop half a mile which has a great stock of local produce. Winfrith is a traditional, beautiful village. The views are wonderful and you can watch the sunset from the back of the property on the small decking view point. Or wake up to the sunrise over the church tower.
The farm is not far from the famous Jurassic coast featuring Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove just a five-minute drive away. Monkey World and The Tank Museum are 10 minutes away. The Saxon walled town of Wareham, Thomas Hardy's Dorchester and the beaches of Weymouth are 15 minutes away.
