Location, surrounding! Very lovely location, pitch very tidy all seemed very friendly. Pub very welcoming, lovely large portioned food and really good prices. Children loved the park and even built a tee pee den ( hoping still there when returning )

    Disliked:

Booked our pitch 2 weeks prior to trip but upon arrival got told there wasn’t any hard standing ones left ( not right considering we pre booked! Seemed all hard standing was permanent stayers ) toilet & shower could be better maintained ( stated cleaned daily but clearly wasn’t )

Lovely location, friendly pub. 02/01/2018

  • Liked:

The layout of the camping area, with plenty of space in between pitches and easy access to electric hook-up.
Very friendly welcome in the pub itself and the food looked excellent although I didn't have a meal there. The pub is also very dog-friendly.
Very enjoyable New Year's Eve entertainment and buffet, which was free to those camping.
Free wifi access in the pub - vital as no mobile phone signal anywhere on the property.
Plenty of country walks in every direction.

    Disliked:

Only one unisex toilet and one shower for nine hard-standing pitches plus grass pitches in the summer months.
No mobile phone signal anywhere on site (I believe Vodaphone may just about work but no other provider). Quite worrying when I have a disabled son and 91 year old mother who I need to keep in contact with.

Friendly welcome, quiet site, not too many pitches. Dog friendly. Nice pub serving food (although we didn’t eat there).

    Disliked:

Shower and toilet were very basic, just one of each and it was far too cold to be tempted to shower. We were able to use the pub toilets whilst they were open though. As we were only there for one night we decided to do without a shower!

    It served its purpose!

    Disliked:

No level pitches, poor toilet/shower facilities, bit remote, over priced. Also need to mention, the sign saying these toilets are cleaned daily didn't mention the cleaner couldn't spot the dozens of cobwebs full of dead insects all over the place.
