Liked: This is an amazing place, organic, wild grassed area in which to camp. The most generous pitches I have ever seen. Quiet, beautiful, as camping is meant to be. Thank you for a great experience :)

Liked: Very friendly hosts, nice views, clean facilities, great site.
Disliked: Allocated pitches, but that’s just a personal preference. The pitches are spacious and decent regardless. Just a gamble if you’ll get the gorgeous views advertised in the photos.

From the manager: Thanks for your stay - we allocate pitches to make sure everyone gets lots of space and so we can drop out firepits and logs to those that want them :) I would say that over 90% of the pitches have sea views - so the odds are in your favour!

Non-electric grass tent pitch (wild)
Liked: This is a peaceful wild camping site with good sea views. The ground drained well - on the day & night we visited we had persistent heavy rain but had no problems with flooding.
The compost toilet was much better than many campsite toilets I have visited.
Owner was very helpful & responsive to enquiries.
Disliked: Can be a bit of a walk to the toilet depending on your position on the site, so could benefit from having another compost toilet in the other field.

Liked: We had a beautiful stay. The view was fantastic. We had a whole field to ourself. The coast past was easily accessible accross two fields through a gate and followed the path down to the coast path. A fire pit awaited us in our return.
We were able to leave our van there all day while we hiked. The sunset was incredible
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: This is a really well looked after site. Toilets and showers were impeccably clean. Owner really friendly and came to say hello when we were on site. Brilliant for lone travellers on the South Weat Coastal Parh as the owner has set up an indoor area in an old horse box for people to chill and to charge your phone. Lovely break from a small tent. From the manager: Hi Lorna, thank you for the lovely review but I think this may have been for a different campsite :) we don't have a horsebox/showers I'm afraid. We are the wild campsite on the cliffs above Heddon's Mouth and Woody Bay with the cracking sea views. I hope you enjoyed your stay with us regardless!
