Liked: This was a lovely site. The owners came to see us when we arrived and were so helpful with information about the area and places to visit. Theres a little shop with an honesty box. Showers and Toilets are very clean (you need a £1 coin for 5 minutes) Really near Clovelly. And a must visit is Westward Ho! Gem of a place.
Disliked: Nothing really. Bit of road noise but didn’t bother us.

Liked: Great spot, well maintained camping site, very friendly owner. I loved to see free range chickens, 🐓 🥚 the little shop on site with a bits and bobs was just so sweet, and honesty box was a nice touch. Bathroom facilities were very good and clean. All site felt like country side freedom :)

Liked: The site was easy to reach in car and the ‘honesty shop’ was excellent, allowing access to a wide variety of items.
Disliked: Quite noisy early in the morning due to lorries and tractors on the main road that runs along the length of the campsite.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked: Spectacular customer service - picked me up from Clovelly after a horrible wet day hiking, really friendly, kind owner and campsite has great setup - clean facilities, little shop, kettle, microwave and charging points, picnic area and very flat pitches!
Disliked: The showers are hot and £1 gets you 5 mins, which is plenty but it’s still push button so you waste half that time trying to keep the water on. Ok unless you have long hair to wash and rinse, then it’s a bit annoying!

Liked: The site is a lovely sunny site with nice homely touches to the shared facilities. Although it is close to the A39 the traffic was not too busy and did not bother us. The owner did come along and check we were pitched ok as there is no-one in attendance on arrival.
Disliked: We were surprised that the showers cost £1. Also, as we were put on a pitch close to the open, unattended gate, we did feel a bit vulnerable.

From the manager: Thanj you for your review. Sorry you felt vulnerable with the gate open I would of shut it on the evening if you had said so sorry for that.

From the manager: Hi Sally. Thank you for your review. Unfortunately it was either put our pitch prices up which we didn't want to do so that's why we charge £1 for the showers which is stated on pitchup.
