Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Amazing place that was extremely clean, quiet and quaint. We arrived within 1-5pmpreferred time, noone greeted us but we were able to call, and aked to choose any spot. Which we happily did. I was delighted to find underfloor heating and separate shower room, with cosy bath mats and spotless toilets!! I was sooo happy as some camps havw rubbish showers! So reasonably priced and for extra £3, you can have wifi but we had 4G all the way! This was our 3rd camp in a week and the best!! We will return again and again on the way to our home in Cornwall as we plan to tarvel to Europe! I dislike camps but this one has restored my faith in responsible owners who provide more than they charge. Thank you 😊😊😊

Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The very warm welcome, the friendly atmosphere with free food and community feel, the clean and modern facilities!

Disliked Later check-in times would've been much preferable.
Minor points: power shower wasn't the strongest, WiFi and Internet signal was weak (but also very typical of campsites)

Liked This campsite offers good value for money. Clean and tidy lovely setting. All serviced pitches hard standing. Friendly staff. Differently will be back

Disliked At 7 meters length the pitches are on the short side. Could do with dish washing area. Maybe a shop.

Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very friendly staff, who met us on arrival and gave us a welcome info pack.
The open air pool was nice and a reasonable temp, although small and shallow - it is more for children.
the pitch was fairly level, requiring just one wedge, and EHU and water were on each pitch.
Quite a pretty site, well maintained, and the scenery was lovely countryside.
the toilet and shower block was on the same level as our pitch, but one block served all levels. It was never busy though. It also housed the chemical toilet disposal and washing up areas.
You can arrive from midday.

Disliked bins were outside the main gate, which was a bit of a faff when the pedestrian side gate was locked.
We noted than one group left their rubbish on the pitch when they left!
There was no shop on site
There was on;y one shower/toilet block.
WIFI available but you had to pay.

Local attractions

With Exeter's gorgeous cathedral and quayside walks a quarter of an hour's drive away, city day trips are a very appealing option at Springfield Retreat. Other local attractions not to miss include Castle Drogo (15 minutes' drive), an elegant country house and mixed-revivalist castle from the 1930s, and Okehampton Castle (20 minutes) on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. While in the area, you could take the kids to Adventure Okehampton (20 minutes), an adrenaline-fuelled activity park where they’ll find plenty to keep them occupied. More family-friendly days out are in store just down the road at Crealy Theme Park (20 minutes), and it's very quick to get to the beach too, whether you fancy colourful pebbles at Budleigh Salterton (35 minutes) or the sandy shores of Torbay (40 minutes). Plymouth (50 minutes) has a bustling city centre and fab aquarium to drop by at if you're on your way to Cornwall, where top attractions include Tintagel's impressive seaside castle (55 minutes) and the unmistakable Eden Project (an hour and five minutes).
