  • Half an hour’s drive to Totnes; 15 minutes to Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor
  • Private kitchens and amenities; Two Moors Way and walks from site
Don’t like the confines of a flimsy tent and looking to up the glamour stakes? At Dartmoor Yurt Holidays near Newton Abbot, you’ll have all your home comforts with the brilliant added bonus of unhindered access to all the beauty of Dartmoor. This is a smashing spot to escape the stresses of everyday life and get back to nature, with just a few secluded pitches scattered over tree-lined meadows giving you total privacy on your Devon glamping adventure. Hang out and chill on site, or set about exploring the area – the choice is yours. You can walk straight out across open moorland from the farm, and onto the Two Moors Way, or drive down to the river at Spitchwick (five minutes’ drive) for wild swimming and a laze by the river. Self-cater on site in your own private camping kitchen or abandon the cooker and head for Ashburton (15 minutes’ drive), the nearest town with several delis and an artisan bakery to keep you fed and watered. You can also pop into Totnes (half an hour) to browse its indie shops and enjoy and pint in one of its welcoming pubs.

Millie 1 bedroom static caravan (no pets)

Liked: Location, quiet, well-equipped caravan, friendly owners on hand if needed, parking next to accommodation. The kids loved chilling out in the hammock by the fire pit in the evening and we enjoyed a glass of wine by the log burner at night. A relaxing break where we could walk to some tors from where we stayed, play board games, go to the beach or travel to National Trust/English Heritage places as we chose.

Disliked: Nothing
