Ilfracombe (one mile away) is a beautiful Victorian town, with a working harbour where fish can be bought from the quayside. There are many walks and beaches around, including Capstone Hill, Hillsborough and the Torrs.
Woolacombe is four miles away and is renowned for surfing and family bucket and spade holidays, surrounded by National Trust land with many walks and fine views.
Barnstaple (13 miles away) is the biggest nearby town and has the nearest train station. There is a good selection of shops and the famous Pannier Market.
Exmoor is 10 miles to the east with the villages of Lynton and Lynmouth beyond, with the cliff railway and historic walks along the flood site or the Valley of the Rocks.
Visit South Molton, a typical market town with weekly livestock market.
Other attractions nearby are numerous, to suit all ages and budgets: horse-riding, surfing, walking, kayaking, coasteering, cycling, pottery, painting, play areas, karting, bowling, pitch and putt, mini golf, croquet, historical visits (including Arlington Court, Clovelly and Torrington 1646). You can also visit fun parks such as The Milky Way and The Big Sheep.

From Junction 27 of the M5 Follow the A361 to Barnstaple. Continue on the A361, following thesigns to Ilfracombe. Entering Ilfracombe from Mullacott Cross, then 300m from the roundabout turn left at the brown tourist sign saying Mullacott Riding Stables and Mullacott Farm Camping Barn. After leaving the road, drive through the two white pillars with horses' heads on and take the first turning right. Follow the signs, depending on whether you are towing.
Directions from the Tourist Information Centre Turn right out of the car park to the second set of lights; turn right again, then drive straight on into St Brannocks road. Drive past the layby on the right-hand side then take the next turning right up the hill after the brown tourist sign, pointing to Mullacott Farm Camping Barn and Mullacott Riding Stables. Once off the road drive through the two white pillars with horses' heads on and take the first turning right. Follow the signs, depending on whether you are towing.
Keeping to the right-hand side of the paddock, come up to the farmhouse (the building on the right-hand side).

Change or cancellation of the holiday by us: if we are unable to provide the booked holiday and have had to cancel before the holiday is due to start, you are entitled to a full refund. In circumstances beyond our control, or in the event of serious breakdown of services, other emergencies or withdrawal of your pitch from service, we reserve the right to offer you the opportunity to change the date booked, offer an alternative pitch if available or cancel and receive a full refund. No claims for compensation in respect of the above events.

Payment may be made by debit card or BACS free of charge, or by credit card (2% fee for credit card payments). We are sorry but we do not accept payment on arrival, so please ensure that you have contacted us to pay your balance. Your holiday will be cancelled without further notice if the payment is not received in due time.
Mullacott Farm is a family site catering for trailer tents and tents. Our guests' enjoyment and safety are paramount and therefore we ask you to read the following terms and conditions before making your booking.
We reserve the right to ask guests who contravene these terms and conditions, or who in any other way are behaving in a manner likely to cause distress or nuisance to other visitors, to leave the park immediately. In these circumstances the holiday ceases and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.
All bookings are accepted on the basis that you, the customer, agree to these terms and conditions.
On arrival, campers must register at the farmhouse. Admission to the farm implies a commitment to uphold the internal rules of the farm. Tents should be placed only as directed by the farm. Your pitch will be available for you to check in from 12 noon. You are welcome to arrive earlier but we cannot guarantee that your pitch will be available before 12 noon. The farm is entitled to refuse admission when this appears necessary in the interests of the other farm occupants. Campers are requested to arrive not later than 8pm. If you are likely to arrive after 8pm please let the site know when you are on your way.
Pitches must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Please vacate your pitch by 11am.
Keep the pitch clean and tidy with the minimum of spare equipment stored outside, and tidily placed.
Cars must not be driven on the farm at more than 5mph and must be parked as directed by the farm. Cars must not be washed on site. Cars must at all times be parked across the slope of the ground.
Information about features, facilities and services at Mullacott Farm is to the best of our knowledge and belief accurate at the time of listing on our website.
Chemical toilets and waste paper containers must be emptied only in places provided for the purpose. All rubbish and recycling must be placed in the bins located around the site. For large items, directions to the Ilfracombe recycling centre can be obtained from reception; under no circumstances should they be left on site. Toilet and showers are free of charge; please consider your fellow campers and leave them as you would wish to find them and notify reception immediately of any problems you find.
Children must be under the supervision of their parents or guardians at all times. All children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult when using the toilets and shower blocks.
Dogs are allowed provided that they are kept on leads and under proper control. They must be exercised off the campsite on a field provided and must not be allowed to foul the site. Please help, to keep other holidaymakers happy as well as for health and hygiene reasons, by cleaning up when your dog fouls an area.
Musical instruments, radios, record players and similar appliances should be used considerately during the day and not at all after dark. Between the hours of 10pm and 7am absolute quiet should be observed.
Any games, particularly ball games which might annoy or inconvenience others, are forbidden on the actual campsite. Empty fields are available for games. The proprietors of Mullacott Farm can in no way be held responsible for any accidents. Please note: for the safety of the farm animals and wildlife the use of all water games is prohibited.
Washing clothes and dishes is forbidden at taps which provide drinking water.
Regulations concerning fire precautions are published at the fire points. Lighting fires is forbidden. Barbecues may be used with the owners' permission and must not be placed directly on the grass.
The proprietors shall be under no liability for injury, damage or loss to property however caused or suffered by any occupier or any guest of such occupier whether or not such said injury, damage or loss has been caused through the negligence of the proprietors and/or their servants or agents or at all.
It should be noted that this is a working farm, and as such there may be various hazards. We do our utmost to ensure the safety or our visitors, but cannot guarantee that all parts of the farm are completely free from hazards. As an example, there may be areas of rough ground which may present a trip hazard to certain people. In addition, after heavy rain the ground in some areas can become slippery. You should take care and wear suitable footwear to minimise the possibility of injury. Tent guy ropes are an obvious trip hazard which you need to be aware of.
Due to the extensive nature of the camping facilities and the ambience of the area, we do not provide artificial lighting. To ensure your safety you should bring a torch or lantern to help you when walking after dark.
By making this booking, you accept that you must take reasonable care for your and your party's safety, while at the same time we will do our best to ensure that the farm is safe.
We will refund balance payments for fully paid bookings cancelled more than 14 days from the start of the stay - the cancellation should be by email or in writing. No refunds will be given for bookings cancelled within 14 days of the start of the stay.
It is regretted that no refunds can be given if guests depart prior to the end of the booked holiday.

We do not accept payment on arrival, so please ensure that you have contacted us to pay your balance. Failure to comply will result in the loss of your reservation.
Changes can be made to bookings up to 14 days before your due arrival date. A £10 administration fee will be payable for each change.
