General

  • Award-winning 80-acre site two miles from the beach
  • Pools, pub, fish and chip shop, sauna, steam room and gym
  • Five private fishing lakes, woodland adventure zone and nature trails

Anyone who relishes a bit of variety on their holidays should give this award-winning site serious consideration: there are buckets and spades of activities for all ages, both on site and in the immediate vicinity.

Tucked into a valley, only a mile away from swathes of Blue Flag beaches, and a 10-minute drive from Dawlish Warren, Cofton Holidays has 80 acres of meadows, orchards and woodland laced with nature trails for visitors to explore.

The facilities here will keep the whole family happily entertained for weeks: Cofton's indoor pool has massage jets and hydrotherapy bubble loungers, as well as a sauna, steam room and gym (a small additional charge applies), and there's a splash area with water jets to entertain the kids. Or set off angling instead at one of the five private fishing lakes, to bag a monster carp (24-pounders aren't unknown here.

More? Kids can bounce around in the three dedicated play areas or explore the adventure zone in the woods, with activities such as pond dipping and bug hunting laid on in season; if it’s raining, there’s also a games room with amusements and a pool table.

After these exertions, retire to the poolside patio of the Swan Inn for a refresher and a snack: the pub opens every night and serves up a good range of grub (breakfast and lunch are also available at weekends), plus regular entertainment including live bands, discos and karaoke in high season. Cofton also has its own fish and chip joint, as well as a shop for any vittles you might need.

Wifi across the whole site (charges apply) means staying connected is simple, and it’s also worth mentioning that Cofton has excellent facilities for disabled visitors.

From the manager...

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

We are so glad that you enjoyed our site and found our staff to be friendly, as well as finding our site to be clean and well looked after.

We do run some adult early and late evening swims on our swim timetable. We are always reviewing our timetable, so I will pass your comments on to our directors and Leisure Manager for consideration.

We really value your feedback and are always looking for different ways in which we can improve our site and the facilities that we offer our guests.

We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Kind regards,
Shaun

Excellent site, very clean and modern facilities. Excellent indoor pool, good value restaurants and bars. has the normal entertainment for kids and adults, plus Bingo. Unlike other holiday parks, you are not forced to walk through the arcade before you get to the main entertainment complex, but the arcade is good and they have ten bin bowling. The shop is well stocked and not a rip off like I have seen at similar type parks. Wi-Fi is free in the clubhouse and paid on the site, we used our phone data instead as the phone signal was good here. The food is great, and also not too expensive. The on site fish and chip shop is very good with a good selection of food and is also reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and helpful, when we arrived we were escorted to our pitch by a member of staff in a buggy which was very helpful. The gravel pitch we were on was perfectly level ( all pitches we saw were) and the park is in a lovely surrounding with nearby fishing lakes with lots of birds. All In all, very pleased with our stay here, it has a Centre Parcs vibe without the price and is just as good, if not better. The best park I have stayed on in a long time if not ever.

Loved the location....1.5 hours from Clevedon on the M5.....loved the site...very clean, well maintained, neat and tidy....pitch very good, most impressed.....stayed only 2 nights,so unfortunately didnt use the first class facilities that were on offer...I can imagine the outdoor pool will be brilliant once the sunshine and season kicks in....was being filled up when we were there!!
Our 11 year old black labrador loved the dog walking area....even he enjoyed the view from the top of the hill!!
If we were lucky enough to win anything,we will be down again to spend more time on the site....we stayed on pitch H24,so we had ,I think the best place to have a motorhome on......very peaceful....
Many thanks for allowing us to experience this site.....Well Done.....Martin & Caroline Coleman
