  • Secluded Devon glamping site five minutes' drive from Colyton
  • A 10-minute drive to Seaton, Beer and Branscombe beaches
  • Bell tents with eco bathroom, bed linen and gorgeous views
Little Oak Meadow is a secluded glamping site with gorgeous views of the surrounding East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the nearby town of Colyton (five minutes’ drive away and known as ‘Devon’s most rebellious town…’). Set next to a woodland, the site has a bunch of wildlife around. Settle in here and you can also look out along the lovely Axe Valley and catch glimpses of the sea lying beyond the Jurassic Coast in the distance. If you’d like to get down there for a closer look, it’s a 10-minute drive to Seaton (or a little longer to the likes of Charmouth, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth). And of course, the proximity of the coast means that walks on the South West Coast Path beckon, as well as local routes taking in woodland, river and rural views. Bell tents at this Devon site are set up with a double bed (plus inflatable mattresses, if needed) and an eco bathroom that’s got a hot shower and dry toilet. Bed linen is provided, along with a kettle, a cooker, a coolbox, lighting and outdoor furniture. It’s all part of a 25-acre site at a family-run property that’s flanked by wildlife-filled woodlands and meadows of grazing cows. Shops, pubs, restaurants and other amenities are all up in Colyton.

Liked: Beautiful location, hosts were very welcoming and the marshmallows were a lovely little touch. The children had the best time meeting the cows in the field opposite.

Liked: It really is a beautiful location, Ian told us where to walk to find a rope swing and where the best views were - and he was certainly right about the views! The tents are in a segmented part of a dairy field, so the cows are there, right there. It was awesome - the kids loved being so close to the animals. We all had a great stay, the tent was well equipped and the beds were comfy. We were only there for one night - wish it was longer. We had a problem with our van as we left, Ian was more than happy to come and help us get it sorted. Thanks Ian - we loved your site

Liked: Gorgeous campsite, beautifully well kept and very clean. Lovely views with a field full of curious and cute cows! Thoughtful touches in the tent. Cozy and lovely with great, friendly and clear communication throughout. We had a blast! Very relaxing stay.

Disliked: The PitchUp review format has forced me to put a star rating for WiFi but I have no idea if they have it - no need for it there anyway! My phone worked and we were enjoying being offline. :)

Liked: Such a lovely setting and beautiful tents! Little Oak Meadow is a truly relaxing gem. The sunrises and sunsets, the showers under the sun or under the stars, the stunning scenery, the off- grid freedom, the comfy beds, and the cosy fire and marshmallows all added up to a really lovely and memorable break. Thanks Ian and Nicky for the helpful communications before arrival, and for letting us share this beautiful bit of England. We’ll look forward to returning next summer.
