Would have been nice to have a couple of lounge chairs to sit outside the yurt as well of picnic table and chairs

From the manager...

We are so glad to hear you have enjoyed your stay in the yurt. Thank you for the feedback - we can understand the need to have some comfy chairs to sit in so we will order some for the yurt. The chairs will be here for the next time you visit!!

Separate kitchen/shower room was really handy and didn't feel like you were on a camping holiday. Very comfy king-size bed. Kitchen was very well equipped and the complimentary bread, bacon, tea, coffee etc. were a nice touch.

The campsite is small and quiet. It has cows and sheep on the side that kept our children enetertained for a while. All the children in the campsite played together and they had plenty to do to have fun while we were there. The fact that they wanted to stay longer was a great sign.
I guess we were very lucky that it wasn't too busy so we never queued for the facilities.
The showers are the best!! Fantastic water pressure and it was a pleasure to do the washing up with hot water.
The hosts/ site owners were very friendly and helpful.
It didn't matter that there was no wi-fi as we were on holiday.
A suggestion: we struggled to fill the water tank as our hose was too short and therefore we had to move the motorhome to a closer position for the hose to reach. Perhaps a reeled hosepipe next to the taps of water would be very handy.

    Disliked:

From the manager...

Thank you for the feedback, we hope the rest of your first motorhome holiday experience was good. The idea of providing a reeled hosepipe does sound a very good idea so we will look into buying one for the campsite - thank you.

    Nothing we liked really.

    Disliked:

On entering the site we were put off by the old mobile home filled with rubbish. The field was fairly boggy, the further down the field you walked the wetter it got. Could do with more than one shower and the outside sink is right outside the ladies loo's.
The pitchers were pretty small and gave the felling of everyone being on top of each other.

From the manager...

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your visit to our campsite. Unfortunately, the old mobile home is not owned by us by we have asked for it to be removed.

We are a small farm site, the part of the field you have noticed is boggy is not on the camping field but part of the field that we use as the dog walk area. The shortest path out to the bridle path is usable in all weathers which we keep as a mowed path. We would not recommend that people explore the far rushy corner of the field as it can still be wet in the middle of the summer due to a natural spring. We will ensure that people are made aware of this going forward and we may consider fencing this part off. As that corner is very rushy and difficult to walk in, we have thought of making it into a wildlife pond.

We do only have one ladies and one men's shower due to the size of our site. As we have only been open a short while, if we find that the business takes off, we do plan to expand the toilet block. Each year we add to the site, this year we have placed a canopy over the sink area and have concreted around the toilet block.

All the electric hookup pitches are 10m x 10m which are large compared to some other sites who only allow 10m x 7.5m.

We do have a lot of returning customers who like the tranquility of our site, the close proximity of our farm animals, plenty of room for the children to play and the cleanliness of the toilet block.

We do, of course, appreciate the time you have taken to let us know what you disliked about our site as we will look into making improvements where we can.

Yurt and Summer House with Kitchen and bathroom were fantastic. Glamping in style. Kids loved BBQ by open fire pit and owners of site were really helpful and friendly. Yurt was huge , plenty of room for 6 even on a rainy evening. We set up table and chairs inside it's so big !!. Beds were super comfy. Private toilet and shower was luxury and well stocked kitchen area made the holiday great. Hubby as a hardened camper is now a Glamping convert and we can't wait to visit again.

    Disliked:

Cows were a little noisy in the morning but made up for it by entertaining the kids during the evening.
