Down Yonder Yurt and Camping Site is in the beautiful Ruby Country in Devon, based between Okehampton and Holsworthy. Within approximately 25 minutes of the site, it is possible to be on a beach at Bude or on the outskirts of Dartmoor. You can also catch a bus at the Lane End junction to either Bude or Exeter.
We offer a traditional Mongolian yurt but with contemporary furnishings. It has electric hook-up, cooking facilities, bed linen and towels.
The campsite has a toilet block with showers and an outside dishwashing sink.
The yurt and campsite is surrounded by our smallholding, including 12 Dexter cows and four sheep. Visitors to our site have direct access to the Ruby Way bridleway.

From A30 at Okehampton, take the slip road off the A30 at Sourton Down and follow signs towards Holsworthy. Turn right at the end of the slip road onto A386. After approximately 2 miles take the first exit towards Halwill on A3079 at Fowley Cross roundabout. After 9 miles at Halwill junction, go straight over the mini roundabout. When leaving the village's 30mph speed limit into the 40mph, take the next left at Lane End, signposted Halwill. The entrance to the campsite is approximately 60m (200ft) from the junction, on the right just past the bungalow. Follow the signs down the lane.
The campsite is based within an outstanding central area to make the most of the miles of coastline nearby and the moorland of Dartmoor.
There is direct access onto the Ruby Way bridleway which opens up miles of paths to be walked or cycled along. The local village has a pub, post office, shop/newsagent, gift shop and fish and chip takeaway.
There are many activities in the surrounding area including fishing, archery, golf, watersports and cycle trails.
The campsite is about an hour's drive from the Eden Project and many more well-known attractions.
