Electric grass pitch
Liked All the amenities are fabulous especially the bar and food were we played bingo. Was shown to my pitch by a lovely lady Viv who went above and beyond and had great knoledge of all the site and where to visit outside the site. We could not believe size of our pitch we had space all around our van for sitting in the shade or in the sun. When we arrived at the site .we found the awning rail had bent and we could not but the awning out so a great guy called Steve helped us fix the pole awning and we could carry on with our holiday nothing was to much for Steve such a great guy.Had a great stay would recommend to all.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the amenities, especially the bar, food, and bingo, and that you were so pleased with the size of your pitch.
It’s especially lovely to hear your kind comments about Viv and Steve. We’re so pleased Viv helped you settle in and share local knowledge, and that Steve was able to assist with your awning so you could enjoy the rest of your holiday.
Thank you again for your recommendation. We’re so glad you had a great stay and hope to welcome you back again soon.
Good location with great views but very busy in summer/traffic noise.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Playground for children was adequate if a little dated and well used. Arcade was again adequate but only open when the restaurant was open in the evening. Fantastic views and glorious sunsets. On site shop, cafe and restaurant. Animals on site and tractor rides throughout the week. Different activities at the restaurant each evening (bingo, quiz etc).
Disliked Situated next to a very busy motorway with significant traffic noise, earplugs are a must. We were situated next the the toilet block which saw very heavy use (peak summer) so were frequently disturbed. The toilets were only cleaned once a day so were very dirty by morning (multiple blocked toilets, no toilet roll etc). It also had quite alot of stones on our pitch and pitch sizes were quite small, we just barely managed to pitch our 6 man tent and had to park the car elsewhere. Ground was VERY hard at this time of year being baked in the heat, come prepared!

From the manager: We’re really pleased you enjoyed the fantastic views, animals and tractor rides. We’re sorry to hear some aspects of your stay were disappointing. If you had requested a larger pitch, we would have been happy to try and accommodate you, as our largest pitches are 12m x 11m. Unfortunately we can’t help the ground being very hard during periods of hot weather with no rainfall. We’d also like to clarify that while the toilet block is closed once a day for a full clean, it is also cleaned again in the evening. In addition, the arcade is open daily from 9:00am until 10:30pm.

Liked Family friendly. Bar and restaurant on site. Lovely play park. Tractor ride and a walk to feed the animals. We enjoyed just being able to walk around the site and seeing the animals and using the football pitch.
Disliked The showers could probably do with being cleaned more than once a day in peak season as they did get quite dirty. Toilets were often blocked as well.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re so pleased to hear that you found the site family friendly and enjoyed the bar and restaurant, play park, tractor ride, animal walk, and football pitch.
We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the shower and toilet facilities during your stay. We would like to clarify that the shower and toilet blocks are closed once a day for a full clean, with a further clean also carried out in the evening. We had an issue with our toilets which resulted in them blocking. This has now been fixed.

Liked Nice and clean campsite. Good size pitches.
Disliked Too hilly for are disabled daughter to see the animals. Not very well lit up at night. Kids games room could be made a bit more easier to find

From the manager: We’re pleased to hear you found the campsite nice and clean and that you were happy with the pitch size.
We’re sorry to hear that the layout of the site made it difficult for your disabled daughter to see the animals. We also appreciate your comments regarding the lighting and the children’s games room being difficult to find. Your feedback is very helpful, and we will take these points on board as we continue to look at ways to improve accessibility and the overall guest experience.

Glad we booked a week there, we only usually go camping for 3 nights.
Electric grass pitch
Liked We had a great week. Stunning views, good entertainment in the evenings. Staff were great. Food was great with huge portions! Had the special on the last evening (lamb shank). My daughter kept ordering the chicken wings. If you order a side of chips it is more than enough for 2 people! Washing up area under cover. We plan to go back next spring. Read others reviews about the noise of the traffic, but it didn't bother us it wasn't that bad.
Disliked The wasps were over friendly, kept entering our tent and invading our personal space!!
Plenty of bins for rubbish but people were dumping bulky items instead of taking it with them. Someone actually dumped a paddleboard, not fair on the owners of the farm , as they have to dispose of it.
