  • Peaceful farm site in Pityme, with views over the Camel Estuary
  • A couple of miles from beaches and watersports in Rock and Polzeath
  • Cornish cream teas available in the gardens on select days
What a cracking Cornish spot – views over the Camel Estuary, a family-friendly pub within walking distance and just a couple of miles from beach times and watersports in Rock and Polzeath. As if that wasn’t enough to tempt you, Blakes Keiro Farm Caravan Site, just outside Pityme, is also the home of Nana’s Cream Teas (open Thursday to Saturday, between 1pm and 5pm), where you can slather jam and cream (in that order) on scones while gazing out over the gorgeous views from the garden. Foodies who’d like to do more local feasting are within a few miles of several fab restaurants and chippies, including celeb chef haunts in Padstow and Port Isaac (which may well also be familiar to those who’ve ever watched Doc Martin on the tellybox). Working up an appetite for such treats is easily done: the farm itself has four public footpaths, and you’re also within easy reach of the South West Coast Path and the traffic-free Camel Trail for riverside walks and bike rides. Golf and fishing are a couple of miles away in Rock, and easy access to the A39 means lots of top attractions are a cinch to reach too. With all this to keep you busy by day, you’ll no doubt be needing a peaceful place to rest your head of an evening, and that’s what you’ll get at Blakes Keiro – no activities or ents laid on here, just some basic facilities in the form of a toilet block, and plenty of space to chill out.

What customers say

This campsite boasts stunning views and spacious, peaceful pitches, with many guests highlighting the friendly and helpful owners. While the location is praised for its proximity to popular areas and walks, the facilities have been a consistent point of concern, with many reviews mentioning their dated state. However, a new toilet and shower block is now in use and receiving positive feedback. Some visitors noted issues with road access and occasional noise from other campers.

Liked Great location and scenery.
Lovely pitches with hedge separations and lots of space for kids and activities.

Disliked Toilet and shower facilities filthy and poorly stocked. Such a shame but everyone saying how poor they are and let the whole site down.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Very friendly welcome

Disliked The facilities were very basic and not kept very clean so the trips to the showers were limited.
Lot of dogs of both sites and some groups didn't allways respect others around the site eg smoking, late night noise, keeping communinal areas clean eg sinks adn toilet block

Electric grass pitch

Liked The site was beautiful. When we arrived we were met with fields of farm land, a lovely drive and a great pitch!
We were so happy with where we were placed and could not fault how clean and tidy the pitches were. Each pitch in the electric field had a hedge between them so you feel as though you’re separated from your neighbours. The grass was well kept and tidy too.
We tried a cream tea in the cafe which was nice too.
The owners were lovely and spoke to us on arrival.
Everything is easy to navigate including a sign on each area of camping to confirm who is in which pitch.

Disliked The toilet and shower block.
They have so much potential! They are large, plentiful to cover everyone’s needs however they were mouldy and definitely not looked after. The drains in the ladies were smelly and quite unpleasant. The men’s were in a similar state too. This was really disappointing as we have throughly enjoyed the site and would come back

Electric grass pitch

Liked Pitches were all separated by a bush and lovely sized! Very quiet off a night showers nice and hot site very clean. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Overall cannot fault anything.

Disliked Nothing at all really - could do with a little shop on site but wasn’t a problem at all to travel to nearest shop.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Loved the size of the pitch. It was fab to have the pitches around the edge and big open space in middle. Lovely quiet area. No trouble with electric and we were close to the tap. Location was also great 😊

Disliked The toilet and shower block were not very nice, especially the female ones. Not very clean, or looked after well. Could do with a deep clean and just over looked a bit more.

Local attractions

You may need to settle here for some time if you’re going to explore all the outdoorsy options nearby. Cyclists can hire bikes in Wadebridge to pedal along the 18-mile Camel Trail, and there are plenty of walks nearby too. Rock has a golf course and a watersports centre for kayaking, waterskiing and paddleboarding. And there are the beaches, of course… try Porthilly or Brea beaches for beach games, Polzeath for surfing and surf lessons, or Harbour Cove (accessed by ferry across the river from Rock) for rockpooling and sandcastle construction. Family-friendly outings nearby might include trips to Camel Creek Adventure Park, the Cornish Bird of Prey Centre or Newquay Zoo, all of which are within a drive of half an hour or so. The famed domes of the Eden Project are around a 40-minute drive away but well worth the trip.
