If it’s a toss-up between sea views and proximity to popular attractions as the most important consideration for your Cornwall holiday location, you can put the coin down right now. On a hillside at the top of a family farm just outside St Austell, Boscoppa Farm Glamping and Camping has fabulous views out over Carlyon Bay, and it’s a mere 10 minutes’ drive from the Eden Project, Cornwall’s most-visited attraction. Those two things alone may well be enough to entice you, but there’s more… as this mid-Cornwall site is also handily close to both the A390 and A391 for easy outings to other favourite attractions including the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Bodmin Jail Attraction and fishing villages like Fowey and Mevagissey. You’re never too far from a beach in Cornwall either – and in this case there are a couple of lovely sandy stretches (at Porthpean and Carlyon) about 10 minutes’ drive away. Staying just outside St Austell is a clever move, too, putting you within easy reach of shops, places to eat and other amenities. The nearest food shops and supermarkets are about five minutes’ drive away, and you can get to the town centre in 10 minutes. Even with all this convenience, the site itself maintains a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of space to soak up the sea views. Dogs and kids are welcome, and you’ll be allowed to set up a barbecue for your outdoor meals if you like.

Barrel 1 bedroom camping pod

Liked Views in the morning and night amazing

Barrel cabin was cute and nice comfy bed
Staff lovely
Logs for fire pit if wanted

Disliked Electric were hit and miss
Only 2 toilet which also had shower in same area.
So if anyone in shower you couldn't use toilet.
Road to camp was rubbish road.

Liked Peaceful remoteness amongst grass fields and run down traditional farmyard. Quintessentially rural Cornish

Disliked Tents so close together
No kindling or matches supplied. I would have appreciated this very much as didn’t need a whole bag of wood at £5 so I could have had a hot drink.

Liked A hidden gem! Lovely view and such a calm and relaxing athmosphere, lovely host. Our kid spent his time running around the field and playing with other kids having a great time untill the sun set.
The road leading up to the campsite is an adventure for bigger vans, but absolutely worth the ride

Barrel 1 bedroom camping pod

Liked We spent 3 fantastic days at Boscoppa Farm (one in a luxurious Emperor Tent, and two in a cozy barrel), which acted as a great base to travel around Cornwall. Lovely peaceful site with fantastic views. Instructions and facilities were great, and fantastic friendly hosts who were always at hand to resolve any issues.

Bell tent

Liked Boscoppa farm was a great spot to stay, within minutes from great beaches and places to visit. The tent was very clean and had a welcoming feeling. Inside the tent was a little stove (we haven't used it but comes handy on chillier days). The bed had freshly washed duvet and pillows. The communal areas were kept very clean: howers, toilets were clean, wash up area had washup liquid and sponge provided, toilets had toilet roll provided. Each tent had their own bbq and you could buy logs if you ran out of them. There was no electricity or WiFi but we went there to enjoy nature. The view from our tent was phenomenal.
Wil definitely return.

Bell tent

Liked Had the most amazing night at the farm. It was clean, was so comfortable. The owners were amazing In knowledge of the area. They even helped us to light our fire pit. The facilities are so clean and tidy and hygienic was a real pleasure.
Beautiful location and not too many tents which makes it comfortable surroundings. Will definitely e going back thankyou

The indoor and outdoor gardens are packed with plant species from around the world, and the attraction also has an imaginative play area, an adventure park and an events space that stages major musical events. Plant enthusiasts should also add several other local attractions to their list, including Tregrehan Garden (10 minutes’ drive) and the Lost Gardens of Heligan (20 minutes) – or perhaps a tour of Camel Valley vineyard (half an hour).
