Fully-serviced grass pitch

Liked: Loved everything about the site from the moment we booked. Regular texts welcoming us and providing info we would need about site and local area. Greeted on arrival by the lovely Amy and shown about on site and then shown to our pitch which I will add are very roomy too. Campsite is spotless thanks to Roger - hedges between the pitches and fields kept neat , toilets and showers squeaky clean too. Showers great too for people with children as they had double shower rooms - great for a family . Perfect site for people who love the views of rolling hills and cows. Ideal location too for wizzing off to see all Cornwall has to offer. Lovely and quiet too . Will definitely be returning so we can see how they’re growing as a newish site. Thank you for helping make our much needed return to Cornwall so much better. Such a personal service from them that makes all the difference as nothing was too much bother , like hiring a fire pit for the evening x

Electric optional grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Stayed for four nights over bank holiday weekend, second time staying here. The site is situated seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful, open space with views of the rolling hills. Limited lighting around facilities and none around the pitches, means you can take in the clear night skies. Facilities are great, showers and toilets are plentiful and always clean. Double showers available for families too which is a nice touch. Roger who looks after the site and all campers is helpful and always making sure everything is clean and tidy. Washing up facilities are good, the one to the side of the site could do with lighting, as once the sun is setting, you can't really see what you're doing! Two football goals are set up for the kids in the middle of the pitches, which is great for different families to come together and play. The site is so wide, you don't even notice they are there and no risk of loose balls. Electric pitches available, which is a must for us when camping! Hardstanding pitches were fully services too. The welcome email and instructions are all very useful and give you a sense of what the owners are wanting to achieve. All in all, loved it and will probably travel the 300 miles again next year!

Fully-serviced grass pitch

Liked: The pitch was huge! Lots of space and a great field with goals for football and animals towards the bottom. The facilities were clean along with the wash stations. Amy and roger were most welcoming and so helpful and friendly!! And roger also came to see us off and thank you for our custom. Will definitely be coming back and recommend. Accessible to lots of places.

Disliked: Not a huge thing but the temperatures of the showers you had to get just right and too far one way gets very hot very quickly.

Fully-serviced grass pitch

Liked: Lovely Campsite with beautiful views and very friendly owners. Really enjoyed our stay.

Disliked: A little noisy on our last night but it was a bank holiday. High winds due to hill location but we had good tent pegs so we're fine.

Fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked: This site is absolutely worth the stay! We rarely stay on the same site again with so many to choose from however we will certainly stay at this one again. It’s one of the cleanest most well kept sites we have been on. Very quiet with stunning views all around. Pitches are very well maintained and great sizes with the addition of the hedges for privacy and a great wind shelter. The facilities were always clean and although not many they were never full. The huge plus for us was showers WITHOUT timers and you can control the temperature!! Communication was also great as we wanted to arrive a day earlier and they accommodated us perfectly with quick email responses. would absolutely recommend this site.

Disliked: The only thing I didn’t read before I went was the toilets being unisex. Although not a problem for most my 12year old daughter didn’t feel comfortable going alone especially as in her words you can hear everything. It’s a tiny negative but not to a preteen ,conscious female, it was a pain having to visit the toilets and showers with her. Wouldn’t stop us visiting again.

Coming from Redruth, enter Illogan coming up a large hill. At the brow of the hill you will see two chapels opposite one another. Take it slowly here, as the site is 50 yards further on, on the right-hand side opposite a little crossroad sign for Richards Lane. Look out for a concrete lane with central grass verge between two white cottages; this leads up to the site.
