  • Spacious family-friendly resort close to Cornwall’s northern coast
  • A 15-minute drive from Newquay’s Watergate Bay and Fistral beach
  • Pools, pub, café, activities, playground and gym
Bag your family a break near swimming coves and surfing waves on Cornwall’s north coast with a stay at Atlantic Reach Resort, a site set 15 minutes' drive away from Newquay’s Watergate Bay, Fistral Beach and Lusty Glaze Beach. This niftily located park is also close to the main A30 road for touring the area’s kid-friendly attractions, like the Screech Owl Sanctuary and the Lappa Valley steam railway (10 minutes' drive), and is chock-full of facilities to keep the kids busy (like splashing in the indoor and outdoor pools). Got any get-up-and-go left after chasing small guests around the playground for hours on end? Stroll over to the modern gym and sign up for one of the 80 classes running per week. There are extra activities that guests can book on site during their stay, like segway adventures, laser tag games and, in the summer months, a huge slip and slide ride. If just reading about all these activities has you wanting to dive under the duvet, not to worry – the site is designed for chillouts too with spacious, open grounds to rest in the open air, a café serving barista-brewed coffee for a calming morning cuppa and a pub selling food as well as drinks for relaxed family meals.

What customers say

This is a family-friendly site with a great location near Newquay, offering numerous activities including swimming pools, soft play, and mini golf. Pitches are generally spacious and well-maintained, with clean toilet and shower facilities frequently praised. While many visitors had a very positive experience, some mention dated facilities and booking issues for the pools. A few reviews noted noise from other guests and road traffic.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (large)

Liked Clean, friendly campsite. Good facilities and pools clean. Slip and slide an added bonus during our stay, although this is at an additional cost. Good onsite pub. Within easy reach of Newquay (14 min by car)

Disliked Lacks evening entertainment, however the campsite was booked knowing this.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, Nick! We're so pleased you enjoyed the clean facilities, friendly atmosphere, and the added fun of the slip and slide. While we don’t have formal evening entertainment, our onsite pub, The Manor Arms, hosts live music nights—three times a week during the summer months. We’d love to welcome you and your family back again soon!

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked The site was was really nice staff lovely.

Disliked The toilet block although it was kept clean the water was always cold especially in the ladies showers and as for the disabled toilet you had to paddle through water as there was a leak coming from either the shower or the toilet the seat was broken in most of them too

Electric grass touring pitch (large)

Liked We loved everything about this site.
The staff were so friendly throughout the site and nothing was too much trouble.
We also had our younger family members join us and they were put next to our pitch which made our day.(Again nothing asked was too much trouble).
Everything was spot on and we all had the best time.
Thanks Atlantic Reach 😁👍

Electric grass touring pitch (large)

Liked Grass well kept ,staff friendly and helpfull

Disliked Pool poor tiles all coming off in outdoor pool, indoor pool no lockers to keep items ie handbags jeweler.
All in all very dated site compèred with all other sites we have stayed and have looked around.
Camp site very noisy at night even though music should be off it went on till 2 in the morning so no monitoring of other campers
Having no option to be let in pool unless pre booked even though when we went down there was hardly anyone using the pool we were told we couldn’t go in because we hadn’t booked.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked The pizzas from the cafe and fries were amazing. The indoor pool was clean and warm especially that baby/toodler pool. Massive park with enough room for kids to play.

Disliked Unfortunately our stay at Atlantic reach wasn’t what we’d all hoped. There was a group of 18 of us varying in ages from 1 to 70. We found that the toilet blocks even though clean regularly needed a vast amount of updating and in the week of our stay we were unable to have a warm let alone a hot shower. The water was always cold. In some cases if someone else
Washed their hands in the sink the shower lost all pressure.
We had paid for fully serviced hard standing and grass pitch to find ourselves on a pitch with no grey waste connection and no grass to pitch the awning. The pitch we ended up on was cut into the grass with steps in places of 12 inches and zero lighting at night. We believe to be used for or going to be used for a static caravan, so the gravel went everywhere inside the awning and caravan.
Due to the above sadly we probably wouldn’t return again as we feel we got let down by the site.

Local attractions

Look to the local area for animal attractions: the Screech Owl Sanctuary (10 minutes' drive) invites visitors to see all sorts of birds being rehabilitated. There are also creatures to pet at the Camel Creek Family Adventure Park (15 minutes) – plus rides and a 5D cinema – and underwater specimens to gaze at in Newquay’s Blue Reef Aquarium (20 minutes). While you’re here, it would be remiss not to veer towards some of the finest surfing beaches in Cornwall: head to Watergate Bay and Fistral beach (15 minutes) with a board in tow to channel your inner Californian or just bring the kids for some sandcastle-building and paddling sessions. Nippers generally also appreciate rides on the Lappa Valley steam railway, starting from 15 minutes away and ending at the East Wheal Rose leisure area, and are pretty fond of jaunts around Newquay Zoo (15 minutes). Adults, meanwhile, tend to prefer making a beeline for places like Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm (20 minutes) for obvious reasons…
