  • Peaceful smallholding overlooking the Lizard Peninsula
  • Collect your own eggs, pick fruit and veg, or fish in the site lake
  • Next to a network of paths and bridleways in Cornish mining country

A stress-free back to basics Cornish time is what's promised by the team at the Lizard Peninsula's Featherlake Glamping, where among the many features to tickle you are the network of footpaths and bridleways just off the site, the closeness to many of Cornwall's top attractions, the luxury accommodation among rabbit playing in the grass – and on-site beauty and massage therapists offering treatments direct to your bell tent.

This is old old Cornwall in an area steeped in mining history, in a wildlife haven and an area so spectacularly scenic you'll be uploading envy-inducing pics to social media before you've even unpacked. The site overlooks the lovely Lizard and has top stargazing: lie back and look at the Milky Way from the edge of a firepit before drifting off to sleep in your bell tent...

The yurts have plenty of storage, a patio and outdoor furniture. A kitchen area with barbecue, firepits and a decked area is a short stroll away; Featherlake also has tea-making facilities, a cooker, a fridge, a food storage area, a compost loo and a shower room.

As Featherlake is a smallholding with animals and crops, guests can collect fresh eggs for breakfast or pick their own fruit and veg: just drop some coins into the site honesty box. Free fishing to land dinner is also available in the on-site lake.
