Menallack Farm Caravan and Camping Site: Pitching field

General

  • Secluded site with excellent views, set over two scenic acres
  • Within four miles of Falmouth, the River Fal and sandy beaches
  • Take the nature walk down the site valley through the bluebell wood

Many folk who come to Cornwall seek a base for its north and south. And secluded is often an option too, given how popular the place is in the summer months. Add both those wants to splendid surroundings, a view over a grand valley, and the peace of the Cornish countryside… and you get Menallack Farm Caravan and Camping Site.

The owners rightfully point out that this is a very pretty part of Cornwall – and the site's rightly pretty too, set over two scenic acres with a nature walk down its valley, through Bluebell Wood and to a stream at the valley's bottom. Firepits are available near the pitching field and in the woods.

It's only two and a half miles from here to both Trebah Gardens and Glendurgan Gardens, three miles from the nearest beach, and within easy day trip distance of most towns, resorts and attractions on the north and south Cornish coasts.

Menallack Farm has showers, toilets and a washing-up area. There's an on-site honesty shop selling a small selection of essential items such as bread, milk and butter, but if you can't find what you're looking for, a farm shop two miles away stocks a good range of local fruit and veg, free-range meat and poultry, bread, Cornish milk, butter and cream, homemade pasties, pies, cakes and quite a bit more. Beyond that, Falmouth is four miles away for supermarkets and the like.

Please note

Reception is closed due to restrictions imposed by the coronavirus outbreak.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Dogs are not allowed in the accommodation units.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

All onsite food and drink establishments are closed due to restrictions imposed by the coronavirus outbreak.

Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.

Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Minimum spacing of 3 metres between pitches.

Coronavirus update: please note that the honesty shop is not currently able to open, so you'll need to bring provisions with you.

I can’t say enough good things about the owner of this site. She was fantastic - on hand day and night and literally stayed up all night to help campers caught in a storm. The site is lovely, tidy and well kept. There is a really useful kitchen with fridge freezer microwave toaster etc which was a bonus.

The owner Sheran could not have done enough for us. She went over and above what she needed to especially Thursday 29th July when Storm Evert hit. Throughout the evening and early hours of Friday morning she checked that the campers on site were ok and provided caravan accommodation to those that needed it.
The campsite is in a lovely spot, with good kitchen facilities, two shower rooms attached to the kitchen and an older shower block with male/female toilets/showers.
    Nice walks from the site.
    Would definitely camp here again.

We had a very relaxing couple of nights. We liked the location, we thought the toilet blocks and washing up area were clean and well-equipped. My children enjoyed playing with other children on the rope swing!

    Disliked:

There was a rather noisy guest in our field who played music throughout the day. It may be that this bothers me more than others, but I found it slightly intrusive in an otherwise quiet and peaceful location.
