What customers say

This is an immaculately clean and well-maintained site with excellent, modern facilities, particularly noted for its shower blocks. Pitches are generally large and level, offering plenty of space. Guests praised the friendly and helpful staff, good Wi-Fi, and the range of on-site activities and amenities, including a bar and takeaway. The location is convenient for walking to Bude town and beaches. Minor criticisms included patchy Wi-Fi in some areas and occasional issues with facility opening times or the cost of electricity hook-up. Overall, visitors highly recommend the site and many plan to return.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very clean facilities and campsite. Very peaceful and quiet. Pitches a reasonable size. Nice play area for kids. Great views.

Disliked Need private water with all caravan EHU.

Takeaway closed 2 days a week even at peek time and you need to order 1.5 hrs before you want it. Some staff “unfriendly” particularly in takeaway.

The Mowhay needs to be run as a restaurant again peek times, really missed it. A buffet Sunday lunch/dinner would have been a winner.

Needs more children’s entertainment, evening kids club.

Music entertainment too early so everything closed at 9pm. Area was uncomfortable and very cold, should have been in the underused Sports Hall.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked The staff were very helpful, the pitches were large, the facilities were amazing with a great little park for the kiddies.

Disliked I genuinely cannot really think of anything to put that I didn't like. We couldn't find the alpacas, that was the only disappointment.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Dear Lynsey,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review following your stay as it was lovely to read the comments that you have made regarding your pitch, the facilities that we have to offer and of our staff.

I am sorry you were unable to find the alpacas during your stay. A park plan is given to guests when they check in at reception which highlights the location of all our facilities, attractions and activities and there are also lots of signs around the park.

We hope to welcome you back to the park in the future.

Liked Amazing 10/10
The View, the Pitch, the Facilities washrooms etc very Clean and roomy.
The Grounds were Like RHS gardens so perfectly Kept.
Golf, Small Petting Animals, fantastic Kids Play Park.
Woodland Walks and More.
The Bar Restaurant was Beautiful.
The Indoor Games room and also a Hall to play Badminton was really cool for the boys.
The Pizza takeaway was soooo good Best Pizza we've had in Bude.
The Reception Staff was super Friendly and such a laugh.
Can't have moody Customers Service it just doesn't work.

Disliked Price. Price could have been cheaper we have noticed how much Camping is going up and it's not that great on the pocket.

Upper Meadow non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Plenty of space on the upper meadow non-electric field despite being the first weekend of the summer holidays.
Beautifully maintained site, grass cut short, established plants etc
Nice clean showers and toilets.
Lovely bar with nice food and also a takeaway on site which we didn’t try due to the long queue.
Well equipped shop.
Convenient waste disposal areas.

Disliked WiFi a bit patchy in the upper meadow.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Easy & friendly check in.
Large pitches , with very clean and modern facilities.
Plenty to do for the whole family and
we walked to Bude which took 35 mins and caught a bus back.
Bude is lovely with great beaches and definitely worth a visit, we are already planning another stay.
We loved our time here and would recommend.
