General

  • Beautifully maintained, level, peaceful, family-run park
  • Only three miles from the coast
  • A quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle

Welcome to Edmore Park, this small, peaceful, family-run park providing an excellent base for your camping holiday near the coast. One of the only level sites in the area, the campsite is only 3km from the local beaches. With stunning countryside views, Edmore Park is a little haven to come back to after a busy day exploring the North Coast of Cornwall. Dog-friendly and only 400 yards from the pub – what more could you ask for?

Situated just off the main A39 and just 30 minutes from the A30, the park has clean toilets, showers and washing-up areas and with 4 acres of level ground, it makes pitching a doddle!

The campsite is situated for easy access for days out - being just 3 miles from Crackington Haven, 5 miles from Widemouth Bay and 8 miles from Bude. At the same time it provides a quiet oasis away from city noise and somewhere where you can truly relax.

We stopped at Edmore Park for a single night on our way to West Cornwall. The site is very close to the A39 not far from Bude but was very quiet and relaxed. We arrived on a bank holiday weekend and yet the site was not busy, most likely due to the weather warnings in place.
The site staff were incredibly polite and accommodating having originally placed us on hardstanding, but finding us a perfect grass pitch on request. The facilities were clean and in good working order, and the kids play area was in good condition.
We will likely book here again later in the year due the good location for the North Cornwall coast, with Tintagel and Boscastle just a short drive away.

Flat camping area with lots of room on your individual pitches. Leslie (lady who runs the site) very helpful with where to go and what to see. Fantastic showers and toilet facilities. Can have the use of a microwave, ironing board and iron, fridge and a number of other items you would not normally take on a camping trip Local amenities limited, as you would expect in the middle of the countryside, but well stocked shop and pub serving all day meals only 400 yards away. Would recommend both. Found Bude and Widemouth overbooked with the amount of people there, car parking areas few and far between. Cracklington Haven just 3 miles from the campsite itself, a small bay with sand and rock pools, for any age child to enjoy. Will definitely be going back to Edmore later this year and possibly yearly thereafter.

Lovely friendly welcome from Lesley the owner. Nice peaceful camp in an ideal place as a base to travel around Cornwall. Clean facilities on site. Outside benches, showers and toilets. Also a small field with a climbing frame for young children. Five minutes walk away to a petrol station, pub that serves food and a convenience store.

Local attractions

There is so much to do close by and something for everyone. The beach always provides a great day out, whether you want to take a surf lesson at Widemouth Bay, build sandcastles at Summerleaze beach or go rock-pooling at Crooklets. Bude itself has a variety of independent shops to browse around as well as the usual supermarkets for the essentials. Cycling and hiking are brilliant to do, so it’s well worth checking out the south west coast path routes. Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Tintagel are right on the doorstep.

It’s great to explore the quaint, historical harbours, castle ruins and then stop for a cream tea. Rainy day? No problem – there is a small cinema just 3 miles away. Or why not check out the ten pin bowling or indoor pool in Bude? Trethorne Leisure Park offers a huge indoor play area for children as well as farm animals to see.

If you ask onsite, the staff are always happy to help you find the places you want to visit or the activities you would like to do.
