General

  • Beautifully maintained, level, peaceful, family-run park
  • Only three miles from the coast
  • A quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle

Welcome to Edmore Park, this small, peaceful, family-run park providing an excellent base for your camping holiday near the coast. One of the only level sites in the area, the campsite is only 3km from the local beaches. With stunning countryside views, Edmore Park is a little haven to come back to after a busy day exploring the North Coast of Cornwall. Dog-friendly and only 400 yards from the pub – what more could you ask for?

Situated just off the main A39 and just 30 minutes from the A30, the park has clean toilets, showers and washing-up areas and with 4 acres of level ground, it makes pitching a doddle!

The campsite is situated for easy access for days out - being just 3 miles from Crackington Haven, 5 miles from Widemouth Bay and 8 miles from Bude. At the same time it provides a quiet oasis away from city noise and somewhere where you can truly relax.

we couldn't fault the campsite one bit. You can see that Lesley is truly devoted to her campsite. The location is fab for been able to access a variety of lovely beach's. our quality of accommodation was our own of course but the grass is lovely ,green and soft , perfect for pitching our tent. The facilities are well set out and everything was all nice and spotlessly clean. our 7 and 14 year old really enjoyed the use of the park and felt comfortable around Lesley and others on the site as she is a friendly and approachable. we didn't ask about the Wi-Fi as I wouldn't use it whilst camping. we really enjoyed our stay and will be returning there again.
    Thank you xx

Nice and clean. Lots of hot water. Friendly. Nice play area.

    Disliked:

Outlook was very open so although it was a nice view it was a bit windy! Couldn't park the car by the tent although this isn't normally the case. They'd had a lot of rain prior to our trip and the ground was still wet. A shame as the car would of helped as a bit of a windbreak. No WiFi.

Edmore Park Campsite is a lovely peaceful and well maintained site. Easy to find with no narrow lanes. Washrooms, toilets and showers are all kept spotlessly clean. Pitches are well maintained and beautifully flat.

Lesley the owner is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Close to the A39 Atlantic Highway, and ideally situated to explore North Cornwall including Bude, Boscastle, Crackington Haven, Tintagel.

There's a pub located just ten minutes walk away, as well as a couple of shops. If you have kids, there's a zip wire for them to play on.

Loved our stay here over the August bank holiday weekend. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely spacious site with plenty of room for kids to run around. Everything was kept clean and in good order. Not many people there when we went so no problems with getting into the showers and always lots of hot water (free). Play area and zip wire so kept kids amused. No shop on site but well stocked store just 5 minutes away with a decent pub next door which served good food. The owner and her family were lovely and helpful, always ready for a chat. Has a laundry room with washing machine (didn't use) and tumble dryer (used regularly to dry towels after showers as weather not too good). Good central location just off A39 with Bude about 7 miles away and Newquay just 40 miles, but quiet. Also provided separate recycling bins for those environmentally conscious. Very good value for money.

    Disliked:

Grass too long and site boggy in places but this was entirely due to weeks of wet weather before we went (and whilst there) and absolutely not due to lack of attention!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Edmore Park. The site is exceptionally clean and well serviced. Our children (aged 4 and 7) spent hours playing and making friends in the playground - the zip-wire and playhouse were particular hits! Lesley, the owner, was one of the best hosts we have had the pleasure to meet; nothing was too much trouble - really exceptional hospitality. The campsite itself is mostly flat and pitches are really generous. The shower rooms are plentiful and showers powerful. The hub of the campsite (toilets/laundry room/showers/books to borrow and washing up areas) were made even more enjoyable with the playing of light music/radio which was a lovely touch (and made doing the dishes a nicer experience!). We stayed at 4 campsites this summer and this was most certainly the favourite (as voted by the children too!). Lovely to be so close to Bude, Boscombe and Tintagel but in a campsite that was not over-crowded or noisy. Wonderful holiday at Edmore Park - we shall be back!

Local attractions

There is so much to do close by and something for everyone. The beach always provides a great day out, whether you want to take a surf lesson at Widemouth Bay, build sandcastles at Summerleaze beach or go rock-pooling at Crooklets. Bude itself has a variety of independent shops to browse around as well as the usual supermarkets for the essentials. Cycling and hiking are brilliant to do, so it’s well worth checking out the south west coast path routes. Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Tintagel are right on the doorstep.

It’s great to explore the quaint, historical harbours, castle ruins and then stop for a cream tea. Rainy day? No problem – there is a small cinema just 3 miles away. Or why not check out the ten pin bowling or indoor pool in Bude? Trethorne Leisure Park offers a huge indoor play area for children as well as farm animals to see.

If you ask onsite, the staff are always happy to help you find the places you want to visit or the activities you would like to do.
