  • Quiet, off-grid pop-up Surrey site 15 minutes’ drive from Farnham
  • Thorpe Park 40 minutes’ drive and Legoland Windsor Resort 45 minutes
  • Grass pitches with Surrey Hills views; woodland walks from the site
If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to hang out within easy striking distance of London, try the pop-up site at Highfield Heights Camping. This handy spot is 15 minutes’ drive from Farnham, which in turn is 50 minutes by train from London Waterloo station. With neatly mown pitches in an assortment of fields, you’ll be surrounded by leafy landscapes with amazing views stretching to the Surrey Hills – and a whole world away from any city bustle. Simple and off-grid the site may be, but it provides access to toilets, hot showers and a private bath, plenty of space so you can have a wander around the fields, and lots of woodland walks nearby where you and any doggy companions can have a stretch of legs and paws. With the proximity of Legoland Windsor Resort and Thorpe Park, it's easy to keep the kids amused at this handy budget spot. If you’re after pubs and restaurants, you can find them in Farnham, along with supermarkets and delis if you’re catering for yourselves.

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked Lovely quiet position and very friendly and helpful owners.

Disliked As said in previous reviews the toilet facilities are not up to standard for modern standards. There is a weird toilet/shower/bath room away from where we pitched but only a nasty portaloo near to the actual camping plot. Nowhere we could find for washing up so had to bring it home. For the price, as it’s not exactly cheap not really up to scratch at all.

From the manager: Hi Belinda, thank you for your review. We are in the process of having new toilets& showers we will be having a washing up station, our toilets are cleaned regularly and our bathroom is immaculate. We are only a small campsite. We have very hot showers that has a huge water tank to make sure everyone here has hot water.
We have to pay a percentage to pitch up I think it would be very difficult to find a hotel for the value that is to stay here per night. We are just a quiet campsite of the beaten track we are in the heart of Surrey and Farnham is a very pretty town. You’re very close to the M3 A3 and we are not that far from London so our location is a good one.

Rachel .

Liked We were super lucky to book a quiet day, whole paddock almost to ourselves. Great facilities, basic, but we were camping, so that's all you need. 2 super clean portaloos in the site, a clean and brilliant full bathroom available slightly further away. Great check ins from Rachel, popping over a few times to check we were ok and had no questions, but not too much, felt very welcome 😁 our kids loved the space and nature!

Disliked Nothing! Having read some previous negative reviews, I think for the price, location and facilities, they were very unfair

Liked Basic site, which does what it says on the tin, absolutely fine for 1 night stop off. Friendly campsite owners. Quite peaceful, definitely has potential so will be nice to see how it develops.

Disliked This site is very basic. The toilet and shower is not a block, it is a shed with a toilet, shower and bath in and it needs a lot of work. I'd say the site has been open a bit prematurely and still needs work. The ground has lots of debris in which we found a bit problematic for our toddler, there are also nettles and thistles in the field which limits play a bit. But all these things can be solvable in time with some investment and upkeep.

From the manager: Hi Denise thank you for your review. It is a wooden outside large building ,it has a mega flow system which creates hot water all day for hot showers & baths , It’s not the Ritz. It’s no frills but it does its job. We will indeed grow. It has only been maybe six weeks we have had made lots of families very happy and we will continue to so,as for the stinging nettles the field is pretty dry. The paddocks do not have debris in the driveway is in progress of being updated with small single , We will Walk around the paddocks and maybe trim the edges thank you for letting us know. Please come back any time you wish.
Regards
Rachel.

Liked The proximity to Farnborough airshow and the hosts helping us organise a taxi

Disliked Even as a pop up it was poor. Not good value for money. The bathroom come tack room come laundry (!) was just weird. No privacy so anyone could look through window & no shower curtain so water sprayed everywhere. The EHU provision is dangerous and only shielded from the elements by a black plastic sheet. Altogether felt like an idea thrown together to make a bit of cash capitalising on a nearby event. We wound not stay again.

From the manager: Hi Elinor when you arrive you were extremely tired. I did indeed help you and took time to arrange a taxi. You had a nice shower. You informed me the water is hot as for being able to be seen that’s impossible because there is an obscured window , i’m very hygienic and I dislike shower curtains. I take much pride in cleaning the facilities daily three times a day.
We are not trying to make a fast buck, we advertise on pitchup , you yourself made the reservation .(airshow)
All electrics are fully certificated from an electrician.the electrics are housed in there electrical cases we use the cover as a double cover .
We have been open five weeks we have updated our water supply along with more showers to be erected .
It is a no frill pop up £30 per night safe secure premises with clean facilities hot water there are nearby campsites which just offer showers with freezing cold water.
As for weird we offer a washing machine facility , I would indeed find that helpful .
Thankyou Rachel.

Liked De vriendelijke ontvangst
