  • Quiet, off-grid pop-up Surrey site 15 minutes’ drive from Farnham
  • Thorpe Park 40 minutes’ drive and Legoland Windsor Resort 45 minutes
  • Grass pitches with Surrey Hills views; woodland walks from the site
If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to hang out within easy striking distance of London, try the pop-up site at Highfield Heights Camping. This handy spot is 15 minutes’ drive from Farnham, which in turn is 50 minutes by train from London Waterloo station. With neatly mown pitches in an assortment of fields, you’ll be surrounded by leafy landscapes with amazing views stretching to the Surrey Hills – and a whole world away from any city bustle. Simple and off-grid the site may be, but it provides access to toilets, hot showers and a private bath, plenty of space so you can have a wander around the fields, and lots of woodland walks nearby where you and any doggy companions can have a stretch of legs and paws. With the proximity of Legoland Windsor Resort and Thorpe Park, it's easy to keep the kids amused at this handy budget spot. If you’re after pubs and restaurants, you can find them in Farnham, along with supermarkets and delis if you’re catering for yourselves.

Non-electric hardstanding and grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked De vriendelijke ontvangst

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked Lovely setting with great potential. The perks of a bath for long distance travellers is great! Power was reliable.

The horses wandering past us in the field next door was really nice - popping open the door in the morning and seeing them was wonderful!

There was always a casual sound of sheep in the distance and that was very calming and pleasant!

We had a brief chat with the owner and she was very very lovely.

Disliked The field issued for parking up with is very small, if there were any more people in it during our stay it would’ve been uncomfortable. The water supply is right next to the owners home, just by their back door, which felt a bit awkward. The toilet near us was literally a portaloo - given the amenities such as bath and showers, it would’ve been better to have a toilet.

I appreciate this is a new listing so there’s room to grow, but perhaps the price should reflect the current status before jumping to the big boy price.

From the manager: Good morning Jody, thank you for your comment The bottom paddock is an acre and a half. We are only a small pop-up site. We aim to be a small site and a one off site quiet and friendly we are this week having work done to have avwater supplied to the bottom Fields. We also have amenities at the top of the property which we have done in the past which gives amazing views to I just wanted to add that is a loo bath and shower in a block we are having more showers after one month we have been incredibly busy and we are very grateful to all the business and all the friendly campers, I really think £30 to stay overnight is a decent price. We provide hot water clean immaculate facilities catered for myself and we will go the extra mile for anyone who comes and stays with us.
Please come back and stay with us and our facilities will be increased, at a normal weekend. We total between 10 and 12 people which is a small gem of a campsite.
Regards
Rachel .

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked The welcome and friendly management, Rachel and James couldn’t have been nicer, thank you
The Barley Mow pub at Sands was outstanding and is worthy of special mention

Disliked Road noise and lack of extensive offload dog walks ( without at least a bit of danger walking along the roads - cmon Surrey councils put some pavements in and maintain the ones that are there ! )

Non-electric hardstanding and grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked We had a lovely stay! We didn’t have a tent but camped in our car as it fits a double air mattress in the back. The pitch was lovely and quiet. We chose the side that looks out to the horses! In the morning the sunrise Gorgeous, the area is beautiful to sit and have your coffee and watch the horses graze in the field. There was very hot water for our shower which is fab and an option to take a bath. There’s also a washing machine and dryer. The hosts were lovely and super chill and very good at responding quickly. You are a few minuets away from fuel and Asda in case you forgot some bits or need cash :)
