Non-electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Nice and quiet campsite. Large spots. Very nice sanitary facilities. Lovely hot showers. Friendly owners
Disliked I would have liked to have a reception or coffee corner. And there is no electricity at all. It would be nice if you could charge your phone somewhere.

Excellent clean and well maintained facilities, comfortable mattresses
Bell tent (deluxe)
Liked This is the second time we have stayed here. The view from the bell tents is superb. A lovely field with houses nestled in the background. I had forgotten about the apple orchard before arriving, but felt very happy once again to be reacquainted with the view. Good fire pit and super comfortable mattresses. Facilities were top notch, clean and fully stocked.
Disliked Some of the people staying at the camping side were quite loud into the night while walking close to our tent, but it didn't impede sleep, so a minor quibble. I also would have preferred a higher plinth for putting the gas stove, as I did see other tents had this.

Excellent - couldn't really improve
Non-electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Our first visit - we loved the site, the right amount of open and sheltered, with really large pitches. The toilet/shower/washing-up/vanity facilities were superb. These toilets were genuniely cleaner than any anywhere! It was all immaculate. Friendly owners, and loved that we could walk over the fields to the vineyard for wine tasting.
We used this as a base attending the Broadstairs Folk Festival which was superb!!! So much fun all for free!
Disliked Nothing at all.

Perfect, clean and beautiful back to basics site
Non-electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Beautiful setting. Large, spacious field overlooking a beautiful corn field. Large pitches. Friendly owners. Peaceful even with families abd children playing. Toilets, showers and washing up areas were always spotless. Surrounded by beautiful apple orchards. The glamping tents in the other field look amazing and perfect for those who prefer not to take their own tent.
Disliked Not a dislike as such but it would be useful to have a hook on the back of the toilet doors to hang wash bag etc. To save putting them on the floor.
