Morleys Farm: Picnic benches overlooking the fledgling Christmas tree plantation and beyond

General

  • Relaxed adults-only Sevenoaks Weald campsite with stunning views
  • A 15-minute drive to Hever Castle and Penshurst Place
  • Barbecues, firepits and communal campfire; pub 15 minutes' walk

Fancy a front-row seat for a fine show taking in some cracking Kent countryside views? Pick a pitch at Morleys Farm, in an elevated Sevenoaks Weald spot, and you’ll be in prime position for vistas that stretch out for miles beyond the farm’s fledgling Christmas tree plantation.

This family-run site is a lovely spot for a rural break – it’s got fishing and country walks on site, with public footpaths leading away from the land into the surrounds if you fancy a longer walk. The nearest village is a 15-minute stroll away, with a community store (selling bread, milk and other staples) and a pub that serves food.

And it’s also in a handy position for wider explores if that’s on your agenda – the A21passes close by, making it easy to get out for days at the likes of Hever Castle, Knole and Penshurst Place, or to take trips to Sevenoaks and Tonbridge.

Back on site, it’s a friendly setup with a nice little list of added extras for guests: there’s a smart bathroom block with hot showers, a couple of communal barbecues and a covered lodge with a charging point for your gadgets. Venture into the woods to find the campfire area – it's open to all guests who fancy socialising by the fireside, so just ask your hosts for some logs and get your blaze going.

Please note

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.

Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

No electric barbecues allowed.

Swimming in the lake is not allowed.

Absolutely incredible stay, with the greatest of hosts, Scott and Laura. Horses , chickens and fields of forever we were able to walk in , and getting up close to the horses was great for us. The amenities were faultless …. Definitely will be returning and hopefully on a regular basis!

Friendly owners, and a relaxed campsite that seemed to attract considerate campers. Good clean facilities. The tent field has a little wood and stone building called 'The Lodge', which has a charging point and also a table and chairs for use in poor weather. I cooked my breakfast in there on a rainy morning!

Lovely views of fields, horses and chickens. Great pub in 15 mins walking distance (The Windmill), and good location for plenty of local attractions.

Location was great - very close to Sevenoaks town.
The scenery was amazing, so beautiful.
Lots of fire pits and tables available.
It was a small “personal” space but didn’t feel overcrowded - a great spot to relax.
The horses came to say hello!

    Disliked:

The toilet roll ran out in the women’s toilets for about a day but luckily there were other toilets available so wasn’t too much of an issue!

Great views and very friendly owners. Really felt like they was there to help.
Nice bonus there was a shower block and toilets even thou we did not use them.
(Self contained) At he cost we really could not ask for more.

    Disliked:

Not really a dislike but just to say the pics made it look bigger and as our Motorhome is 24ft was very tight getting out, but as we said not a down point just an observation.
