What customers say
Roundoak Farm is an adults-only, peaceful campsite set in beautiful surroundings. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff, especially Guy, and the well-maintained, level pitches. The site offers a chance to experience a working rare breeds farm with animals roaming freely. While most reviews highlight the excellent facilities and tranquil atmosphere, a few mention that some facilities could benefit from upgrades and note the unisex nature of some washrooms. Access roads can be narrow. Overall, it's highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

Beautiful part of the country and a such a lovely farm
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked The farm is beautiful. The grounds lovely and facilities more than what you need.
They have a barn that they’ve made into a bar (open for a few hours in afternoon if busy - it’s not a party place) which is so cute and full of fairy lights.
The woodland is again cute and our dog loved the shaded walk as it was warm whilst we were there.
Loved seeing the rare breeds and the chickens, birds, turkeys etc roaming around
Keen to try the sister site soon too.
Disliked Nothing. There’s absolutely nothing to dislike about this place.
I won’t lie, to my husband I was like oh I’d love a place like this (not that we could afford it lol).
But reality dawned it when the cockerels started crowing (like 4:30am) and the rest of the farm slowly started coming to life - i decided to leave it to the pros and dip in and out camping :)

From the manager: Thanks for the review and rating.
Can't help the cockerels, ducks, they have freedom to roam around the farm.
Their noise is part of farm life.
Maybe if you let us know you are coming next time we will book him is for our sunday roast!
That should stop him!
Anyway glad you enjoyed my working farm.

From the manager: Hi
Thanks for your review
I take on board what you say about a mop
There is usually a bucket and mop at the entrance to the shower and W C
I don’t know why it was not there
I will check
I have to say it’s nice to know that you have respect for our facilities
You cannot believe the mess some people leave
We clean the showers and toilets sometimes three times a day
It a pity you did not find me so that i could of rectified the situation

Highly recommended for a peaceful and tranquil stay
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Peaceful and tranquil. Beautiful views, flat pitches which are very well maintained and a dream to pitch on. Not overcrowded and loads of space. Love that is a working farm. Loved our stay so much we are back there next weekend. Facilities are clean, plenty hot water. Regularly cleaned. Hosts Norman and Ruth were very pleasant and obviously passionate about their lovely farm. We came back fully recharged.

Liked We were booked into Roundoak Farm but when turned up we found out that Kingsoak was the ones which had the Highland cows. Norman and Ruth were lovely and Norman took us to Kinsoak where we stayed for our 2 night break with the cows literally on our doorstep. It was idyllic, chickens and ducks running around. The new toilet and shower block is currently being built but are fully working and great, will definitely return.
