Will definitely use this campsite again a what a gem!
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Hot shower, clean toilets, really friendly welcome and peace and quiet / only 1 other camper on the field.
Village had a very well stocked shop and a friendly pub.
We had pizza at the campsite - lucky enough to order as we arrived for later that evening.
Opportunity to have a campfire but we didn’t bother - bikepacking and a 30km ride meant we were tucked up in bed at 8pm!!!
Disliked Absolutely nothing!!

The site is very quiet- there…
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The site is very quiet- there is no road noise at all. The area around it is really pretty and you can walk to a well stocked shop in a few minutes. The showers and toilets are basic, but fine. There are no allocated pitches and no one to greet you when you arrive ( the friendly owner comes over to the site sometimes) The gate is on the right shortly after you turn in on the gravel lane. We had an enjoyable stay.
Disliked The description makes it sound like there is a cafe onsite and pub food within walking distance, but there isn’t. The cafe was closed over the whole bank holiday weekend that we were there.
There is a nice dressing room beside the showers, but the lock on the door doesn’t work . The sign for the campsite is really small and easy to miss. We felt there was a general lack of information about the site and area compared to other sites we have stayed on. I feel having no one to greet you and no reception area is unhelpful.

Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Went in October so only ones on site
Disliked Grass needed cutting and although it had rained for two days was getting muddy and difficukt to get out
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: We are so sorry that the grass was long. Wayne can usually keep up with it but it had just rained and rained and it was too wet to mow. We were not expecting any campers quite so late with the bad weather, October is always a dicey month and the weather was not on your side.
Sorry we didnt come up to scratch we hate not being able please our campers 100%. Please come again when we have some lovely sunny camping weather,
Kind regards
