  • Luxurious glamping site in a Kent village 10 minutes from Canterbury
  • Good transport links including a bus stop nearby; trains from the city
  • Private showers, kitchens and gardens; pub and shops 10 minutes’ walk
Tucked into the Kent countryside in the lovely village of Littlebourne, Canterbury Lodges and Glamping has a real rural vibe about it and yet is only a 10-minute drive from the historic city of Canterbury. So you have the best of both worlds – city and country – staying here, plus the chance to make friends with cute pygmy goats and chirpy chicks. The three-acre glamping site is a quiet, rural setting, sheltered by trees so the luxurious accommodation units are well secluded from each other. All come with private bathrooms with showers, a camping kitchen with all essentials provided, and a spacious private garden area with firepits and a charcoal-fired barbecue. Feel free to bring your own firewood or buy it on site for a small charge per bag. Littlebourne village (10 minutes’ walk) has all sorts of handy amenities, including a local shop for replenishing supplies, a large village green and outdoor play area for the kids and a pub for the adults. If you want to ditch the car and still explore coastal towns such as Whitstable, Broadstairs and Sandwich, there is a bus stop close by and trains from the city.

What customers say

This is a quiet, peaceful site with a warm and friendly welcome. Guests appreciate the generous space, private setting, and charming rustic feel. Facilities include a shower with controllable temperature, electricity for charging, and a fridge/freezer. The site is noted for excellent value, and its location offers good access to destinations. Some guests suggest minor improvements to the toilet and shower block, such as adding more hooks, and the lack of dedicated chemical and grey water disposal points is mentioned.

Liked Excellent! We received a warm and friendly welcome from the owners, they were lovely. The camping area was quiet, clean and relaxing. Shower/bathroom was clean with hot water. Great for little kids too, as they have goats and chickens. I will definitely be returning.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked I can highly recommend staying at this beautiful spot. The owners are super friendly and helpful and they always replied very fast to my messages.

The campsite is clean, quiet and you'll have some cute goats and chickens as your neighbours (they weren't noisy at night either).

The village itself is small but pretty and I recommend checking out the Ivy Barn (shop and café). Getting to Canterbury is very easy and fast by bus too.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Excellent value for money. Great small site with friendly goats and chickens (and owners!). Nice small toilet block and washing facilities. 5min walk to really nice pub, and short drive from both Canterbury and coast for sightseeing.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Lots of space to pitch as it wasn't very busy, chickens and goats right next to camping field, nice toilet / shower room, good free wifi, very friendly owner and neighbour who helped pull my car out of a concealed dyke that I reversed into on the entrance road when I arrived! Nice village too and close to the bus stop for going to Canterbury.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Nice quiet site, friendly greeting, relaxed and informal.
Choose your own pitch.
Good price.
Fridge and freezer to use

Disliked Not enough toilets, showers or sinks, one of each for all the campers to use. All in the same room.
Lack of a water tap. (Had to fill kettle at washing up sink.)
Towel and bath mat in the toilet/shower room.
No signage from the road, didn't know if you were in the right place.

Liked Nice owner, perfect pitch, toilet and showers need more hooks or better a total renovation, but clean and the warm water works perfect.
