What customers say
This is a highly-rated, family-friendly campsite with spacious pitches and immaculate facilities. Owners Alan and Kim are consistently praised for their welcoming and helpful nature. Guests love the unique atmosphere, including hearing the lions roar from the nearby sanctuary, watching planes from Headcorn Aerodrome, and the sound of trains. Additional amenities like pizza nights and communal areas enhance the experience. Some minor noise from the road and railway is noted, but generally not disruptive.

Liked From the minute we arrived to the minute we left I can complain about anything the owner Alan greeted us explaining where everything was and showing us to our lovely spacious bell tent he kept popping over to see if we had everything even supplying my son with a pillow as we had forgot ours and told us to wait till around 3 am for an experience we wouldn’t forget thank you very much…
Disliked The rain thunder and lightning (not owners fault lol)

Had the location have been better, we would have stayed longer
Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Alan was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay, we Enjoyed Pizza night on the Friday. The space the children had to run around and play was great. They enjoyed going to see Tony the pony and even able to help muck out.
Disliked How close we were to the train track. Extremely loud at night time and first thing in the morning, trains were even going through at 3am. It was entertaining for the children during the day, however awful for us adults making it difficult to sleep as it was extremely loud (directly behind our tent).
Aesthetically, to look at, the shower and toilet area looked funky and modernised, unfortunately it wasn’t cleaned at all during our 3 days there.
With the cat sanctuary so close behind the pitch, we thought this would be quite cool to hear them at times, they only really came to life during the night when we were trying to sleep, so that cool thought quickly turned into frustration when you were kept up by roaring at night

From the manager: Oh dear, so the toilets and did not get replenished with toilet rolls hand soap or hand drying towels etc. the showers were not cleaned or dried out floors not cleaned or mopped. I am not quite sure what site you were on. Funny isn't it that you were asked to report to ourselves if you had any concerns or worries especially with the showers or toilet area, You were asked if everything was ok and you said yes, you showed no concerns what so ever. our facilities are checked every 2 hours and more often if it is wet. Just to remind you your stay was 2 days not 3.
Unfortunately we have no control over the noise our neighbours make at 3 am. Meow.
A brilliant glamping experience with wonderful hosts and facilities
Bell tent (four person)
Liked Let's be honest, Tony the Pony (the on-site Shetland) is the real star of this show.
But, him aside, everything here is excellent. The facilities are clean well maintained and there is everything you could need, including a fully stocked kitchen and massive communal fridge.
The bell tent we stayed in was massive, clean and in very good condition.
The hosts were lovely and could have been more helpful, and hearing the lions roaring at night was a real treat, the cherry on the top of an already wonderful experience.
Will absolutely be back, and I'm already looking forward to it.

Will 100% be back for a few visits in 2027
Frogdale cabin
Liked The hosts Alan and Kim are great with nothing too much effort for you.
Roaring Big Cats from the Sanctuary next door while sat outside chilling in the evening with a glass of Rum was fabulous, close you eyes and you could have been in Kenya or somewhere!
During the day watching the wing walkers on the biplanes from a local airfield was pretty cool too. No WiFi was bliss, so don’t think about sitting on your phone the time you are there.
Disliked Nothing other than the parking in Headcorn is mental (for the Take aways) but not Go Glamps fault obviously.

1 bedroom shepherd's hut
Liked Spacious pitches, owners on hand , enjoyed pizza Friday & Pimm's Saturday a lovely touch. Walked to pretty Smarden &the flying horse were the friendly landlord gave us a lift back to the campsite in his black cab(free of charge). Roaring lions, parachutes &hot air balloons all from the comfort of our pitch.
Disliked The half open gate would be slightly difficult to manoeuvre if you have a motorhome,

Great site perfect for families!
Bell tent (four person)
Liked Beautiful camp site with the most friendly and accommodating owners. We absolutely loved everything about this site from the super cosy and spacious bell tents, to the lions roaring in the morning and watching the sun rise as paragliders filled the sky. Alan and Kim went above and beyond though out our stay and the kids especially loved the departing tour on Alan's golf buggy!
The camp site itself is really clean with very well looked after amenities including hot showers and super clean toilets.
There is a very handy communal kitchen area which had everything you could think of and we were so grateful of the fridge space which is unheard of at most sites. Thank you again for a truly memorable camping experience.
Disliked Loved everything and couldn't fault it.
