  • Small and peaceful adults-only site in the Kent countryside
  • A 25-minute drive to Rye; several vineyards close by for tours
  • Fishery next door with bar and food; walk to local pub in 10 minutes
When you stay at Field End Campsite you’ll be sharing the space with the chickens and ducks that live here, and just a handful of other guests… but no kids, as this Kent site is an adult-only setup that’s all about letting the grownups have a bit of chillout time. This rural location (about 15 minutes’ drive from Ashford) is a particularly fine spot for a break if you’re into your fishing – there’s a fishery just next door, with a couple more within a 15-minute walk/five-minute drive. Meanwhile, cyclists can pedal along quiet country lanes and there are plenty of places to get out for a walk nearby too (and you’ll be welcome to bring your dog along if they fancy a Kent countryside walk too…) Only planning to walk as far as the pub? That shouldn’t take long, as the nearest one is only about 10 minutes away on foot. There are four more pubs within a five-minute drive if you’d like to mix things up a bit, or you could pick up supplies at the farm shop just outside the local village of Bethersden (five minutes’ drive) and get your barbecue going back at base. There’s also a butcher and grocery shop in the village, with bigger supermarkets over in Ashford if you need them. Facilities on site include wifi, a washing-up area, toilets and a solar-powered shower. The fishery next door has a bar and serves hot food if you don’t fancy doing your own barbecue. There's also a pétanque court on site.

Liked: Everything! Field End is a beautifully kept little site and is very peaceful. The facilities are simple and quirky and we loved it! The pitches are very spacious and the communal areas are very attractive. The owners are very welcoming but not intrusive and the eggs we were given were such a treat! We had some lovely walks and drives around the local area and visited the local pub. We’ll definitely be returning!

Disliked: Having to use the Dartford crossing to get there!

Toby electric grass pitch

Liked: Excellent site, everything was spotless. The hosts were fabulous and provided us with lots of information. We loved the communal areas, the fire pits and barbecues. There is a nearby pub within walking distance and lots to do nearby. It’s an adult only site which was what we wanted in August. There was only 5 pitches which ment it was lovely and quite. We traveled with 2 small dogs, they enjoyed meeting the other dogs and had a lovely time. We were also given some great tips for my dogs as they also run a kennel club dog training school. We must of had the worst weather in history, they put us in a sheltered area, which was great. Lots of water points about and free WiFi. We are new campers this is our third site, compared to the others this was the BEST ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you

Toby electric grass pitch

Liked: Fabulous campsite. So peaceful - adults only and just 5 level pitches. Facilities are great - hot water for washing up, and lovely hot showers (gas not solar power). No queuing for anything. WiFi available. Owners are lovely, v friendly. Good information provided. Really enjoyed the fresh duck eggs from their ducks provided for breakfast. Excellent location - 10 mins walk to local pub and others within a very short drive. Will definitely return.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Toby electric grass pitch

Liked: The facilities are great, really impressed with the showers. A lovely quiet spot, only 5 pitches so always peaceful. Not loads of privacy between pitches but that’s really no bother when there’s so few people around. Super welcoming hosts, gorgeous dogs, lovely location base to explore. If you fancy a long walk the walk to Woodchurch vineyard was about 2.5 hours round trip and the vineyard was gorgeous and the wine was great.
