What customers say
This is a peaceful, back-to-basics campsite with a natural, wild setting, ideal for stargazing and enjoying wildlife. Reviewers appreciate the quiet atmosphere, spacious and private pitches by a lake, and the allowance of fires. Basic facilities, including a clean portaloo and a hot shower, are provided. While generally well-received, some mention overgrown vegetation and challenging access tracks. There's limited phone signal.

Not impressed and over priced
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Nothing
Disliked Drive bit through, huge stones hitting under car, not good for tyres, couldn't even go on the grass bit as that was sunken holes. No shelter, camp area was really small and right on the river bit, and everything was over grown, toilet and shower( was minimal) and not very clean.wifi was non exsistant

From the manager: Hi as discussed and evident in text messages you claimed you were unable to stay due to the weather, I said I could do a refund or a free stay next year. You agreed on free stay. Sorry for your disappointment the weather was not good.

All in all it was a nice experience with relaxation.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Went camping with my partner, and we where lucky that we had the place to our self's the second day.
The best spot is right by the lake with a short walk to the shower and toilet.
This place is a nice spot for relaxation and not much noise at all unless the farmers are about.
The only thing I suggest is to be prepared to collect and chop firewood if your making a fire.
Disliked Finding the place at night is a bit tricky by finding the campers sign and following directions.
Sara was a nice enough to pick up our phone call late at night and guide us.
I mentioned to her that it would be great to get a bigger sign so everyone can find the place easy.
