Liked: Great potential, beautiful setting, clearly lots of environmental work going on, lovely wildlife
Disliked: Further from the South Downs Way than suggested. Not very obvious what's what when you turn up. If we hadn't seen a tent in the distance we'd have been unsure we were in the right place. Chap came down and gave the loos once over as we were setting up but didn't pop over to chat or give us the lay of the land. Loos were rudimentary. I'm ok with that but of the 3 two had either a dodgy or broken lock. They were an odd setup so I ended up.leaving the door open for my morning ritual. Shower was also basic. Once again fine but the women I was with couldn't budge the gas bottle so without me it would have been cold showers all around. Please put some hooks up to hang things. A general sign explaining where the pitches are would be so useful. Maybe a couple of tonnes of scalpings and a whacker plate on that hardcore drive down into the camping field would help vehicles. I think early days for this site. It could be brilliant. So much potential for lovers of wildlife and peace and quiet. Transfers to and from South Downs Way could be lucrative and would help bring folk in especially as it's equidistant between 2 other obvious sites on the SDW and there are no other camping opportunities

Liked: Amazing place and setting , could have better facilities and do more with the site. But definately come back
Disliked: Toilets were portaloos so ok but very cramped and more washing facilities would be better.

Liked: Lots of space on the pitches and very peaceful setting! Lots of wildlife to see. Can understand it may get a bit soggy after heavy rain but was good for us after a short sun spell. Simple amenities which was perfect.
Disliked: None really.

Liked: Loved the beautiful site with views to South Downs, very peaceful, lots of great walks. It’s basic and back to the nature, toilets could do with a little improvement, however this did not spoil our stay. Liked that owner came by in the evening to check everybody was happy, loved the wood for open fire at night. We were very lucky with the weather but i can imagine it would be difficult for some cars if middle field is water logged. We would definetely like to return.
