Downton Holiday Park is an independently run caravan park on the outskirts of the New Forest. We are within walking distance of the local beaches, the village of Milford-on-Sea and within a short drive to Bournemouth.

Amenities include a modern laundry facility, children's play park and indoor games room.

Located approximately 15 miles from Junction 1 of the M27, we are ideally situated for many holidays. Access is also available from the nearby train station in New Milton which is on the main London to Waterloo Line.

By road, leave the M27 at Junction 1 and follow the A337 to Lyndhurst. Keeping on the A337, drive through Brockenhurst and Lymington and on to Downton. At The Royal Oak pub, which will be on your left, turn left into Downton Lane. After 800 yards, turn left into Shorefield Road and we are located immediately on the left.

Alternative routes avoiding Lyndhurst are through Burley or Ringwood from the A31.

The nearest train station is New Milton, on the main Waterloo to Weymouth via Bournemouth line. Taxis are available at the train station or you can take bus number X1 along Milford Road to the Downton Lane junction. It is then a 50 yard walk along Downton Lane to get to us.

Local attractions

The local area is abundant with many attractions for adults and children of all ages: walking, cycling, sailing, kayaking, archery, fishing, and golf to name a few. Information on nearby theme parks and many attractions are available from reception. Of course relaxing on site is also an option.

The New Forest, Lymington, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight are within easy reach.

Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Occupants of caravans must behave in a sensible and responsible manner at our holiday park and with due regard to other guests. Musical instruments, radios and televisions must not be used in a manner audible to other occupants or guests. All noise should be kept to a minimum after dark in order not to disturb others.

Smoking is not permitted in any of our caravans, or public inside spaces. Care should be taken around the site and no-smoking signs must be observed.

Ball games, frisbees, kites and Chinese lanterns are not permitted.

Boats are not allowed on the holiday park.

Guests must be genuine holidaymakers and stay for holiday purposes only.

Barbecues are permitted but should be sited well away from gas supplies and other combustible materials.
