Electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked: First time camping for us so bit nervous about how it all worked. We needn't have worried. Helpful and friendly staff checking us in. Met at our plot by staff to help us with everything. Came back to check all was going well! Facilities were good. Cleaned regularly. Excellent location to explore Hayling Island.

Local attractions

When you fancy a break from all the water activities, there are plenty of other ways to spend a day, including walks or bike rides along pretty countryside trails. The Hayling Billy Trail is one of the most popular of these, running for the full length of the island’s west coast along the route of the old ‘Hayling Billy’ train line. Elsewhere on the island, you might like to hit the rides of Funland amusement park (a half-hour walk away) or take a more sedate trip on the Hayling Seaside Railway, a light railway that runs along the seafront. Leaving the island behind, it’s also easy to do day trips to Portsmouth (20 minutes’ drive) or Chichester (25 minutes), explore woodland trails in the New Forest National Park (45 minutes) or take hikes in the South Downs National Park (half an hour).
