Abbey Wood Experience Freedom Glamping is set on London’s outskirts, in wooded grounds to the east of the city in the Greenwich borough, and in an area of parks and open spaces.

Parks and wildlife reserves are all around the site, such as the route around Lesnes Abbey Heathland, 20 minutes' walk away, which is linked by the South East London Green Chain and many other scenic attractions. Paintballing, indoor karting and Go Ape are all available within easy reach.

The site has a playground, toilets and showers, laundry facilities and a washing-up area. Wifi is available.

Local attractions

Visit the Royal Observatory and Peter Harrison Planetarium 25 minutes' drive away, or have a day of the largest inner-city farms in Europe, Mudchute Park and Farm (30 minutes), with its acres of open space and set past the Greenwich Foot Tunnel on the Island of Dogs.

The Greenwich Theatre (25 minutes) and Up the Creek Comedy Club (30 minutes) run entertainment for all ages; it's also about 50 minutes' drive from the site to London theatres Shakespeare's Globe and the Young Vic.

As well as plenty of London attractions, Abbey Wood is in prime position for outdoor activities, such as paintballing, karting, and the Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre (35 minutes). Or have days out at huge spiralling slide ArcelorMittal Orbit, also 35 minutes, canoeing at Danson Park Watersports Centre (10 minutes), or just taking a River Thames cruise from several spots in the capital.

If you'd prefer not to drive into London, take a train from Abbey Wood station half a mile away, to reach Charing Cross in just over 30 minutes.

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Modifications are subject to a £30.00 fee.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.

Please note that your deposit is paid to and is non-refundable.


A 15% non-refundable deposit is payable now. Abbey Wood Experience Freedom Glamping will debit the balance from your card 4 weeks before arrival, or if the arrival date is sooner than 4 weeks then the balance will be taken immediately.

You can also opt to pay the full amount at the time of your booking.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. between 15/03 and 03/11 and between 04/11 and 14/03.

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Open fires are prohibited.

No vehicle movement between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..

Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
